  • Let me get something straight?

fact this guy is a union dodger fact

  • MICHAEL MOORE IS RETARDED THAT SIT IN ONLY BUILT THE MIDDLE CLASS IN MICHIGAN MAYBE BUT NOT WHERE I LIVE BACK BREAKING WORK BUILT MY STATES MIDDLE CLASS NOT STANDING IN A ASSEMBLY LINE

  • Michael Moron the biggest capitalist this side of Marx. Yahoo! say what the dummies want to hear, you know, the capitalists that hate capitalism, i.e. selfloathing sophists. Come on folks, if I saw something this phoney on the right I'd slam it and figure he was so over the top that he had to be a plant from the other side. Unbelievable.

  • Once again, thanks Michael for not answering the question at all and going on some "the rich getting richer" rant that holds absolutely no economic foundation. It seems your answer is to ignore the problem and let this massive employers to go broke or continue outsourcing, while of course you continue to get wealthy off the capitalist system you claim to hate. All leftists are hypocrite assholes getting rich off the American dumbasses.

  • LOL.. You sheep! Thef UNION destroyed the middle class! They forced the companies into $65/hour for hourly workers! Moore is completely wrong!!! The UNIONS destroyed the automotive companies.

  • michael moore please read "the failure of the liuna internal reform" then you will have you next movie

  • ill buy an american car when they make a better car than the japs. ,Now all they make is shit

  • The American auto worker has the IQ of a celery stalk. UAW workers are lazy scum sucking thugs.

  • Michael Moore is a fat ass commie pig that hates America--Hes needs to be sitting a mental ward--What a left wing MORON!

  • I have 30+ years as a software engineer with a Bachelor's Degree and I cannot find work because I live in Georgia and the leaders here did away with Collective Bargaining in the 1990s. Georgia is now a "Right to Work" state or really should be called the "Right to Fire an Employee for No Reason" state. Our leaders here have betrayed the working class. Gov. Sonny Perdue took millions in contributions from large corporations in order to outsource jobs overseas.

  • HOORAY FOR WISCONSIN ! RECALL !!!

  • Any American made vehicle is way too expensive due to labor cost of the union workers. Why not have all American vehicle be made in China? Every American name brand is being made in China, it could save all of a lot of money and then the union workers will have no choice but to settle for minimum wage jobs like the rest of us had to do.

  • @patsaxon and then no one will have jobs and be able to afford to buy new vehicles.

  • I remember watching a documentary called Michael Moore hate America. And a therapist was interviewed and said the reason michael hates America is because he hates himself. And also has bi polar and depression. LOL.

  • micheal dont care about anything except money

  • I don't like this man,I don't trust him.people that only talks one way and hides partially the rest of the story, can't be trusted. it's just propaganda.

  • Once your uncle sat down he never again got off his ass. Who talks asbout eliminating the middle class you Michael Moore are the only one talking about that. You act as if the only people in the midle class are union people. How disgusting!

  • @btaylor9661 - you really are some kind of an idiot!!! Moo cow, go listen to Fox News and get herded into their pasture and kiss their ass. That is what cattle like you are good for. To serve the rich and powerful and getting paid less than minimum wage. You pitiful piece of garbage.

  • @lionssong2525 I would like to pee on the law that provides for a minimum wage. There would be no auto union without the auto companies and if I had a choice of the two I would definitely pick the company. No company no jobs, wake up you idiot. I live in Anderson Indiana formerly 30000 GM jobs, now due to the union, not one left. The company got tired of being blackmailed by the union.

  • @btaylor9661 Your views toward the unions (UAW) is outdated. Your typical rant about UAW doesn't fit the facts of today. You dont listen to the fact that the UAW HAS made concessions and blaming the union for lost jobs is typical when you should look at GM's management. the economic climate, etc. I think you meant 3,000 jobs?? And if we all work at Walmart who will buy your product Mr. Businessman? UAW chose not to work? Obviously youve never seen the actual work or conditions or a modern plant.

  • @597914 No I do mean 30000 jobs not the 3000 you suggest. We had Delco Remy and Guide Lamp here. we also had the jobs that supported those on top of that. Oh yea you can blame management but each time the union had a new contract coming up they demanded more and more and if the company did not want an all out strike they paid (blackmail). Job banks where you do not work and get paid full wages and benes. The union made concessions now after both GM and Chrysler went bankrupt. Just a bit late.

  • @btaylor9661 Wrong. the UAW did their own study on GM's profitability and made those concessions BEFORE the bankruptcy. The UAW has been making concessions for years. I havent gotten a raise in over 10 yrs. Jobs Banks..theres a joke. Did you know that the lie they tell about people sitting around is just that. When we lost traditional jobs our jobs banks were doing work like building maintenance, etc. Jobs that GM normally paid contractors 3x as much! We saved them $!

  • @btaylor9661 Delco...oh yeah thats where they paid that guy millions to come in and run the company into the ground and then paid him millions in bonuses too! Theres leadership! OMG! Trying to keep what you have is NOT demanding more and more! You can spin your anti union crap any way you want. Bottom line is the unions are NOT the reason companies leave. They leave because they can make it cheaper in countries where there are no laws to protect the worker. Corporate greed, no responsibility.

  • @btaylor9661 You make comments about the UAW and don't even know what they have done to compete. Our concessions were done a year before the bankruptcy! People have been accepting early retirements and buyouts since 2006 (and before) to help them. All you can spout is typical antiunion line and blame and you dont even listen to someone whos been there and actually knows and has seen the changes. Paycheck, Risk, Profits? Quit? What a bunch of nothing!

  • @btaylor9661 Of course a "businessman" would like to pee on any law that cuts into the profits you make off the sweat of your employees. Who determines your worth? The market? Or do you get govnmnt help like so many other corporations that like to use Chinese sweat? Is your livelyhood threatend by deflated foreign currency? How do you feel about "free trade" that isnt fair? Your argument is full of holes when there is no level playing field. Oh yeah, its ALL the unions fault!

  • @597914 You are right about trade not being fair but come on about the profit off the employees sweat isn't that why you went to work at thiscompany was for the paycheck every week with little risk on your part? If you want to participate in profits you invest in the compnay or a compnay for that. You got your check and benefits and were not entitled to those profits. Then there was no profit and the company had to hold a hard line to get those costs down. If you think the company cheats, quit!

  • @btaylor9661 Hard line by GM...is that why all the Mgrs and supervisors at local plants are still driving free vehicles, free gas and free car insurance? On top of their already inflated salaries? And thats why the reinstated their raises? Some hard line!

  • @btaylor9661: Boy, you sure do love to be a brainwashed ignorant anti-union moron, don't you?

  • t no choice

  • @btaylor9661 Do you even know what that strike was for? It was about working conditions not wages! There was no wage increase! Do you even know what it was like back then? Times have changed and unions DO negotiate what they ARE worth and if you havent noticed they gave back money while Mgmnt gave themselves a raise while you bailed them out! Your anger is misdirected based on an outdated sterotype. FYI: new hires make $14.35/hr. & reduced benefits. Is that too much for you?

  • @597914 No that should have been done long ago, you can find millions of people who would take those jobs but UAW ran those off forever. The only reason the idiots of the union took concessions is because they saw no job or company as the other option. Bankrupt companies, UNIONS WON, hurray!

  • @597914 New hires make $14.35/hr??? I busted my motherfucking ass off for 4 years at my job, giving top quality work, doing extra work, and dealing with assholes just to make that and they get it automatically??? And THAT'S down from the amount they WERE getting and NOT TO MENTION THEY HAD "30 AND OUT" (Work on the line at 18, retire at 48 with full benefits)!!! I bet they've never had to work like we've have to!!!

  • @betatalk357 I'm sure you did work hard, and that's the whole point of unions. You SHOULD make more for busting your MF ass off. Understand that things and the contract, are diffierent in the UAW factories now. We still have 30 and out, and you can retire if you chose to, but not with "full" benefits. But what makes you think they haven't worked like you? So many people have no idea what it really takes in an auto factory. Why do you think we won the 30 and out? Its not so easy either.

  • @597914 I am in a union and i should make more for busting my ass, but I don't ask for more because then they'd try to find ways of busting up our union like they're trying to do with everybody else's. Also, it could be worse, making 9 an hour as a burger flipper. We don't have "30 and out"; ours is "30 and get the fuck out, we need more young kids to work for cheap".

  • @betatalk357 the strength of the company should determine the union wages, only an ignorant union would demand more than the company could sustain. thats why its called negotiations. as long as people keep electing corporate kiss asses like Walker in WI, the corporations will continue to make obscene profits off the backs of the workers. I said FAIR wages for all, fair to the worker AND company...what's wrong with that? We need to stand together...of the people, for the people, by the people

  • @597914 Sure, the UAW might've busted their asses off building the car, but the quality of "assembly" accounts for ABSOLUTELY NOTHING if there's no quality of reliability, horsepower improvements, innovative designs/ more options, or fuel efficiency. It don't matter if they properly torqued the fastening bolt to seal a brake line when the engine explodes because the Big 3 went to a cheap parts manufacturer, does it? And you know what they say: "If it looks bad, it looks bad for everybody."

  • @betatalk357 I don't know where your perception about US autos is coming from, because the cars the Big 3 are putting out are kicking ass right now. Ford is making a 305hp / 31mpg V6 mustang, GM has the Volt, 40mpg Cruze with 10 airbags for 20k. Equinox is the highest selling crossover. Some of the highest safety and reliabilty in the industry. You must be talking about Toyota the most recalled vehicles in history.

  • @597914 Yeah, but at what cost? 40 years of having a tarnished reputation? Thousands of people out of work? Trillions of dollars in lost revenue? Plus billions of dollars the taxpayer didn't get to use to bail themselves out of their own problems, but billions for car companies? And as for the cars they currently make, you have to make due with what they're selling. What if they don't make what you want? Plus, it'll take years to make a turn around, IF they ever do.

  • @597914 And by the way, if it took them THIS LONG to change their way of thinking, the Big 3 is more over the hill than what people think or say. What does it say about 3 car companies that continue to operate as they see fit while losing trillions in revenue over 40 years to their competition?

  • @betatalk357 Better get your facts straight. Up until 2 years ago GM held 51% of the market share and is poised to reclaim the #1 spot by this year if not next quarter. They already are there worldwide. How they lost ground was a result of trade laws and unfair trade policies by our own govt and foreign brothers. keep buying foreign and you'll be driving that to the unemployment line.

  • @597914 If it was trades laws and unfair trade policies, why didn't the Govt change those policies instead of throwing money at the problem? Because even they knew it was a product problem, not a trade problem.

  • @betatalk357 You and your neighbor could have had a good paying UAW job, with benefits, but you chose to support foreign countries. And NOW you complain about not making a good wage? How many jobs lost? Look on the roads, every foreign car represents a good wage, benefits and YOUR $ heading back to Japan. I have no sympathy for people that drive or buy foreign goods and complain about not having a decent job. You are leading the race to the bottom.

  • @597914 I'm not complaining about the little wages I make, but rather the big wages the UAW got when the Big 3 sold shit cars, whether or not they had a hand in the Big 3's destruction. But you have to ask WHY? Why did people go foreign? Because it's not like everbody said "Fuck American cars, go import", like its a fad or fashion thing.

  • @betatalk357 Well some might not think that is fair, I think your lower wages are not fair?? Our pay structure leans more toward profit sharing now. No raises and I'm cool with that. And they are finally giving us stuff to build that we can take pride in. That helps. Take care....

  • @597914 I'd rather deal with my 15 year old USA car than a new USA car. Easy to fix, cheap to run, does what i need it to do. Surprisingly, I take more solace than pride in it because it might not be great, but still, could be worse.

New cars are difficult to repair, costs a fortune, kids always scratch the paint or ding the doors, too much complicated new fangled bullshit in the dash. As the Chinese would say, you can't take pride in something if it brings you much misery.

  • @597914 The new Chryslers get 27mpg; my '96 stratus gets 24mpg; the new Elantra with a smaller engine, the same horsepower, 40mpg. I'm lucky to do 75mph in my Stratus; I can easily go 118mph in my 25 yr old BMW. BMW engine is smooth; Dodge engine rattles. So, what's the point in having a new Chrysler or an older Chrysler when a vintage import that easily caters to your driving needs? People have a taste for high speed, sexy looks, and high fuel efficiency.

  • @betatalk357 you make good points, keep in mind that the advancements today make my new Silverado more efficient and less emissions than a 5 year old honda for instance. But marketing studies say people don't really buy for any of the reasons you stated, but actually for price. Most could care less about fuel economy. If it has curb appeal and the right price they will buy. Most people anyway. Nobody cares or knows GM has several models that get over 30 mpg

  • @597914 I've heard many nurses at my job said their husbands' Silverados were back in the shop every 2 weeks while their Toyota Corollas kept running. As for fuel efficiency, my dad's 1981 mazda 626 did 39mpg, an audi a8 diesel does 40mpg, the new Hyundai Elantra does 40mpg, and the new Prius does 50mpg. The whole point of high fuel efficiency is so you can keep driving and driving, which is how you get to love the car, through the journey you take it on. If it looks good, that's a bonus.

  • @597914 If the Big 3 won't satisfy those needs, its common sense their customers will go to another 'pusher man' who will give a nice high for the buy on their driving needs.

Besides, if a person bought an American car built by "their fellow neighbor" and it broke all the time, the man who owns that car won't think too neighborly of them if sunk their paychecks into the car to buy it, even more for repairs, even after doing loads of maintenance to it, trying to take pride in it.

  • @betatalk357 you make it sound like every American car breaks down after you drive it off the lot...I've had Fords (3) and GM (7) and only lost one fuel pump and an alternator and put over 150k on 3 of them. My last truck has 70K and all i put in it was a battery and tires? My neighbors Audi engine blew driving it home from the dealer. Si#& happens. I'll just say the stuff coming out of Detroit now is pretty good. Shop around.

  • @597914 No, I'm not saying every USA car breaks down after you drive it off the lot, but there is plenty horror stories. My $1,400 car has 140k miles on it and still goes; my buddy spend 20k on a Hemi Durango and the engine died at 75k. When you buy new, you are taking a huge risk that the vehicle won't catastrophically fall apart after the warranty expires. Not many are willing to take that risk.

  • @597914 You'd be extra super hot pissed if you work hard for your money and buy a car to have fun with/ take pleasure in, only to find out the thing lacks speed, comfort, acceleration, horsepower, and has options you don't need or like but has nothing in it you wanted. Then it falls apart, the mechanics treat you like shit, the car takes eons to fix, it's no better when you get it back, 2 weeks later it breaks, and 6 months later, you're selling it for chump change to get rid of the fucker.

  • @597914 They use the money they got back on selling their heap and go buy a Toyota, Honda, etc. Its got a nice design, nice price, options people want and nothing of what they don't want. Its reliable, accelerates quickly, goes fast, handles nice, takes pennies to maintain, and responds well to the servicing. Its as though the car's grateful and thanking you for treating it good. Unlike the last one you had that presented you with untold misery. Well, that's the story of any import buyer.

  • @597914 Meanwhile, the rest of America has to work until we die and buy their shitty products???? BULLSHIT!!!

  • @betatalk357 Quality, safety and reliability have improved much in US autos to where they meet or exceed their foreign competition. The myth that foreign is so much better is a lie. The rest of America needs to demand fair pay and accountability and transparency from the corporations and our government so ALL can earn a fair wage, not tear down your neighbor for negotiating their wages or benefits.

  • Rich elitist do not want a middle class because the American middle class: blue and white collar workers and small business are the greatest working and fighting force in human history. The middle class believe in freedom for all, not just the top one percent. But I am afraid the Bush administration has buried the middle class forever. We will not recover. The ignorant Tea Party will make sure of that. They are nothing but cattle and sheep for the rich Republicans.

  • I agree 110% Michael! You are correct. The top rich elitist 2% want the Monarchy back that we rebelled against in 1776. The middle class blue and white collar families are the only force standing in their way and we had better wake up before it is too late. The Tea Party'ers have it all wrong. The Republicans only represent the rich.

The Auto workers and union members saved American and must do so again. We desperately need the US Auto Worker in a stronger position as all middle class.

  • @lionssong2525 The top rich also pay for 75%+ of the taxes in the country. Shut your hole you poor inbred.

  • @blazinhomo - You are the poor and cowardly inbred and an abomination. Rich elitists Nazi Fascist Pigs never pay taxes on anything. The rich elitists wrote the tax law to allow them so may write offs they never pay a penny of taxes. That's why corporations are so underhanded and criminal in nature. Use your brain Dumb-ass!!! Now the Fascist Supreme Court of America is just as criminal.

  • @lionssong2525 Are you kidding me? Jeez you're more pathetic than glen beck, the whole fox station put together.

  • @blazinhomo - You started it. Glen Beck and the whole Fox News inbreds are pathetic! Don't you dare compare me to those Fox Nazi Fascists Pigs.

I was a bit aggressive and I apologize, but NEVER compare me to Fox News Freaks!

  • @lionssong2525 I am a proud Fox News freak, where else can you get the truth surely not from the posts here. I am a business man, not a rich one certainly but a hard working man who gets paid based on what I do. The problems with the unions they chose not to work anymore but wanted big bucks for it. We are in a competitive world and can no longer afford to pay union wages and benfits.

  • @btaylor9661 - You are a a Fool!!! I am so tired of you cowardly freaks making excuses for rich elitists who are deliberately eliminating the middle class and small business people like you. And just because you are white and Obama is black is no excuse for you to support the Nazi rich. So shut the hell up!!! Unions are the working class organizations standing together against idiots like you.

  • anyone still listening to this hippie ?

  • I think it's the political system that needs fixing more than anything. All these special interest groups are running the show like AIPAC. It shows that $ runs the white house...not the ballot.

  • As if the UAW didn't have enough problems, this overfed lardass being on the same side as them spells doom.

  • That was an excellent question, focusing on facts, that Michael promptly ignores and focuses on his feelings....

  • God Bless Michael Moore.

  • @AmericanMaidUSA You are a sheep!! It is the UNIONs that destroyed the automakers! You cant expect to be paid $65/hour (including benefits) for screwing a part into a vehicle for long!!! Eventually other companies are going to find cheaper ways to built parts and vehicles and you are screwed! This is what happened.. Moore is CLUELESS!!! Again, it is the UNIONS who messed up everything!!

  • @IslamISsick1 Shouldn't we be asking our buddy Michael why he goes so out of his way to hire NON-UNION crews for his movies he makes so much money off of? What would uncle Moore have to say about that? Yep, you nailed it, they are definitely sheep for liking this lying asshole.

  • @AmericanMaidUSA Hahaha, Michael Moore doesn't believe in God, and he certainly doesn't believe in unions, which he refuses to hire for his movies he makes so much money off of. He believes in capitalism, and making money off fools such as yourself, even if it means contributing to the downfall of the country that has made him so wealthy...

  • The auto and steel Unions drove all manufacturing out of this country, good job!

  • Yeah, because chinese and the 3rd world pay their workers shit pay.

  • @MrSuperpunch019 And soon the GM guys will get no pay because there will be no factories.

  • @fmckadoo : Where is your evidence to back-up your statement that union workers drove manufacturing jobs out of our Country?

Most of the manufacturing jobs that were off-shored were non-union jobs.

  • larry king a f-ing dope.. always interrupts and mike can get his point across. I hate the larry king show.. Mike should buy an hour of tv time to present his valid and factual opinions to everyone on prime time. The middle class needs you mike!.

  • unions increased the standard of living for union members. The rest of us pay a higher price for goods that union workers produce, because the cost of a union workers fat pension is passed down directly to the consumer. The rich is harmed, like mr moore says, but the poor is hurt much more.

  • Comment removed

  • free trade has increased my standard of living and most other americans. open borders have led to a flood of cheap and high quality foriegn goods. i have and always will purchase japanese and german cars, simply because they are higher quality and more affordable (not upfront, of course, but if you factor in fuel economy, repairs, and the amount of time last, they are much cheaper). I am quite happy to have a hardworking mexican build my car than a parasitic UAW leech earning $90k+ per year.

  • Comment removed

  • One of the major reasons GM went bankrupt was because of the UAW. Foreign car companies don't have to pay ludicrous salaries to lazy workers.. This bankrupcy catalyzed the current recession. This country was at its greatest in the times of the Carnegies and the Rockefellers, when it was the worlds greatest industrial power, due to low taxes, regulation and labor costs. That title now belongs to China for the same reasons. Try to justify your arguments without resorting to conspiracy theory.

  • Comment removed

  • First of all, there is no satanist global elite, that is conspiracy theory lacking any proof whatsoever. Unfortunately slave labor does exist, but not in manufacturing industry, it resides in the african sex trade. Factory workers around the world are being lifted out of poverty , and no longer tied to agricultural land. They can feed themselves and their families regardless of the crop. btw david rockefeller is worth 2bn, a fraction of his ancestor's 318bn

  • Comment removed

  • david rockefeller does not co own the federal reserve, the us government does (Unfortunately, it needs to be repealed asap). There is no shadowy elite controlling the world, only a group of imbecilic political whores, led by Obama. The world is being run to the ground by the illuminati, but by leftist politicians.

  • @RM5493 : You should read the book, "The River Ran Red." Then you will know the real Andrew Carnegie, and want his hench-man Henry Clay Frick did to the workers at the Homestead Works in the Homestead Strike of 1891.

Then you will learn how it was to work for Carnegie.

  • @RM5493 : It's your choice to choose an imported car from Mexico, over a U.S.-built car.

Yes, Mexican workers are hard workers. You should see how they live, though.

Why don't you take it a step further, go down to Mexico and live under the conditions of a Mexican autoworker. See how you like it, and report back to us.

  • Michael Moore is a stupid douche.

  • I love how these union backers keep repeating ad nauseum this idea that unions created the middle class without any evidence whatsoever. it's a load of crap and this is obvious to anyone.

I'm middle-class and I don't belong to a union, so that disproves such an idiotic argument right there.

  • What are you 8? what kindof causation is that?

  • So how am I part of the middle class without a union? Shouldn't the corporation I work for be exploiting me for low wages?

  • the merchants created the middle class not auto workers

  • Unions have destroyed this country's industries. How the hell does an assembly line auto worker in Detriot working for GM get paid $75 an hour while a worker doing the same job working for a Japanese auto company in the south gets about $15 an hour. Answer- Foriegn countries don't have to worry about unions. That's why US auto company's are in trouble and will eventually fail. Great Job Dumbocrats. Wow, just think. They want to run your health care too!

  • Actually the US has one of the lowest % unionized workforce in the modernized world.

  • As usual Michael Moore is full of shit. The union sure didn't build the middle class. Thats like saying the mafia is a real plus for society, The UAW big boys are nothing but lazy thieves.

  • the UAW is a joke, it is not your dad's union anymore. they are a bunch of sell outs. tell GETTOFINGER he's through. all a bunch of do nothings for all your hard earned union dues. pieces of shit!!!!!!!!!

  • how detriot makers can make a profit

    answer is so simple

build better cars than the competition

even KIA is kicking your but all the way to detroit

  • I only have one word for Michael Moore...CAKE!!!!

  • Is the UAW a Roman Catholic Only organization?

  • Michael Moore will soon die of a heart attack. That'll shut his fatass face up.

  • Micheal IF YOUR FROM FLINT MICHIGAN and you don't support UNION IDEALS, the kids from the block, or your buddies from highschool will ostracize you. It's as simple as that Michael. Your a blind fool MIchael and I have zero sympathy for the pink slips handed out. Auto Makers from around the world are opening non-union plants in the Southeast and Mexico. And you expect us to listen to your arrogant ass (Michael) cause you've got you finger on the real problem? Japan has pwnd your ass Mikey

  • shut the fuck up you fat bitch

  • peace out Sydneysider...going underground for a bit.

  • funny thing is marceads - I agree with your overall opinion on this subject.

    Enjoy your time out.

  • Another thing Michael...seems like the people I have met who worked in the auto industry lived pretty well...probably too well. How many of your union buddies are beside themselves right now because they have cut their own throats and will soon be out of a job...bailout or not. Doesn't bother me...I have nothing to lose from it...and this goes for most Americans. Keep defending your socialist comrades Michael...it cracks me up to hear your take.

  • Just a sidenote...Michael Moore looks like a guy at the bar who pisses himself which I find hilarious.

  • No...actually what happened is that when times were good and the automakers were making money, the greedy stinking unions took it upon themselves to hold the automakers feet to the fire by threatening strike. Sorry, but this is as much the labor unions fault as it is the management's fault. I will never, ever buy another American auto because of this. Your syndicate unions bosses have cost you your gravy jobs...go after them. In the meantime...eat your union card.

  • To the caller's question is: You are right, you can't have jobs when the management makes horrible decisions year after year for decades, fire the management. The auto workers have worked very hard but have no choice but to implement the stupid policies of the CEOs. Nor do they get much pay. The business press even ran a story showing US auto workers are paid same as employees of Japan carmakers. Only difference is Japan CEOs make better decisions. Fire CEOs but don't gut America's manufacturing

  • HOW can he defend a union like that . That is not a union that cares ...they are no diff than wall street Greed Greed Greed...Mike you compare wages and benefits with the rest of America Let the big three be competitive !

  • Pretty bold statement you pompous fatass...I think the farmers have far more to do with building the middle class of our nation. It is because of commie libs like this that has force me to look outside the US for my autos. Guess what? They are cheaper to own, more dependable, and are worth something when it is time to update. Sorry, but why not let the union take care of these people who have paid in BILLIONS worth of labor dues? Now where is that money? Oh, yeah, the mob has it.

  • China's middle class continues to grow, while America's middle class continues to decline. But again, the United States continues to outsource their manufacturing base over to China. Because the capitalists feel the best way to generate profit for themselves is to employ as few employees as possible, and pay the cheapest possible labor. The ruling elite in America can give Goddam about the middle class. The top 1% owns everything, while the bottom 99% works their asses off for nothing.

  • It's OK paulp1021...don't cry. What are you doing to prepare yourself? Grow some balls and accountability.

  • And by the way, stop being brainwashed by the likes of Rush, Hannity, Michael Wiener Savage, O'Reilly, and Laura Ingram.

  • I don't listen to any of them...I base my opinion off of what I learned earning my degree in business and the 20 years of experience since I graduated.

  • I love how he didn't answer the question AT ALL.

Because of instead of actually admitting that it's impossible to compete, he just goes off on some rant about the 1930's. It's a different world you pitiful fool.

The UAW needs to be taken apart.

  • Michael is absolutely right -- as usual. He's one of the only people speaking up for us. We need MORE unions, not less. We need a workers' revolution in this country to reclaim what politicians have stolen from us or the last 25 years.

  • Michael is right. Unions made the middle class. If Unions go, so will good paying jobs and the middle class.

  • I agree Michael, keep em coming!

  • News to the UAW, you're jobs can be moved to Mexico and Vietnam :-D

    I support the move :-\

  • God Dam Traitors in Congress.

    Its much easier then this.

    1. Life Line Legialstion= 1% per annum The social security credit card for all citizens in dire straights.

    2. the 90-100 year mortgage letting hard working ameircans have 2/3s less payments and interests on their illiterat government servants misrepresenting us.

  • JSM - There you go, spoiling a perfectly good comment with a pious remark.

  • Piss on YOU, instead.

  • Neville6000-

In the next 4 years there will be plenty of illegal alines from Mexico to take over all the UAW jobs for 1 third less pay :-)

The illegals have already taken all the hotel/motel jobs, restaurnat jobs and landscape jobs.

Your job under Obama boy is next :-D

  • First off: I'm not an American, I'm a Canadian;second, you're a right-wing fascist/racist prick; third, Obama's policies are the same as Bush's-he's no socialist; fourth, stop watching shit like Faux Noise, you're just becoming a brainwashed sheep.

  • Neville6000-

I wouldn't be saying your Canadian as if you're proud of it, if I were you.

Everyone knows Canadians are a bunch of pansies.

  • JSMcCainRocks: I wouldn't be implying that you are American and proud of it, if I were you.

Everyone knows that Americans are unworldly, narrow-minded, inward looking nationalists!

Your country's economy is in a dismal mess, your social programmes are almost non existent, your health care is not extended to the poor and most in need, your education system ranks very low against other developed nations and yet... there are still (blinded) individuals like you who want to attack other nations.

  • Shut up you dirty stinking Frenchman.

  • Great comeback argument you have there marceads. Guess I hit a sore spot! LOL

Oh and btw, I am Australian.

  • Fuck you. I drive a Toyota Camry because its A) reliable and B) gets great MPG. Why should i buy a car made in USA? Once they stoped careing about quality i stoped careing about them.

  • shadysonger,

Your precious UAW's days are numbered.

Do NOT buy any UAW made cars until they are gone from the USA!

  • Pretty soon, the Big Three won't even be around (except for Mazda, Volvo, Izusu and SAAB) and you will have to eat shit and look like the brainwashed Kool-Aid drinking right-wing sheep that you are-with a shitty gas guzzling car/truck that can't even have it's parts serviced.

  • repubs won't be happy until only illegal aliens work for the big three.

  • Bring back the 90% marginal tax rate on all income above $400,000. The president survives on $400k per year. There is no CEO or executive that is more important than the President.

  • @Richardgwm - Yes, Yes, Yes, you are right on!

  • @Richardgwm

We are getting ripped off, I am sure we could find someone willing to take the office of president for half of that. 400k a year is not serviving 25 to 57 k a year is what a lot of americans make. But i agree with you tax them 400k +a year people blind.

  • scrambling for the crumbs...pretty much...

oh and "companies that dont make money cant create jobs..." maybe they wouldnt have to make so much money if the exec's didnt think they were worth 16 fucking million a year...if they didnt think it was ok to be wasteful and opulent...

  • I say the US government buys GM, gives a loan to Ford, and Lets Chrysler sink. THE END

BUY GM, SAVE FORD, FUCK DODGE!

invest in new startup electric car makers like Tesla.

  • I agree Michael! Screw em all!
