  • I love this guy. He aint afraid to speak the true. Much love to you bro. Maybe you were one of us the past life. hehe :)

  • You are right, Antonio. Kampuchea Krom belongs to Cambodia. The STUPID MFKER french gave it to MFKER Viet.

  • muay thai got it from Pradal serey

  • Cool story, long but cool. :D

  • Anthonio, why don't you try to find bokator boxer in Surin, you might find one ?

  • @tchhom i did go to surin to study muay boran and to look for a bokator master but there aren't any in surin anymore. there are a lot of Khmer and Thai-khmers who are fighting professional muay Thai but nothing about bokator.

  • @ 2:11 is that a statue of Hanuman? that statue looks awesome I want one just like it lolz,

  • Hey man that video was awesome. Please go to Kampuchia Krom. I hear a old living master living in Prestapen(Tra Vinh). I am going to look for him too this trip....I can't wait to buy your Bokato book or video....

  • That was a great story. I watched and listened to all of the epsodes.

  • Thanks so much. i am glad you enjoyed it. it was a huge part of my life.

  • Antonio, please go to Kampuchea Krom. We can use public awareness. So few people know we even exist in Vietnam, your trip will be really great for bringing awareness to the Khmer culture there. If you find Khmer arts in Kampuchea Krom it's very old because it is isolated so most originality will be there so we may see and learn things we don't in Cambodia!

  • happy TLC.

  • There has been no kickboxing allowed in Vietnam since the war but I've heard rumors that some schools still teach systems w/ techniques similar to muay boran. The branch of Thieu Lam I trained in Saigon looks like southern shaolin. Although it was purely kung fu the story goes that the old masters from my style fought in the ring and several other schools in the country did the same. But the records during the war period are shady. Most styles just did forms competition like wushu tournaments.

  • Hey the Thieu Lam master you trained w/ is my Master's elder kung fu brother! Thats the Kim Ke branch of Thieu Lam-Tay Son Nhan. The core of the system and most Thieu Lam schools is mai hoa quyen/ plumb flower fist from china. Thieu Lam means shaolin but some of it isn't pure shaolin. There's wing chun, hung gar, some watered down choy lay fut, and in Tay Son Nhan there is even wudang. But the masters from this school competed in kickboxing much like predel serey and muay thai in the 60's-70's.

  • Tony Jaa. he is khmer surin and he train the old arts of kings martial. only the luckly ONEs are taken to be train. the stories are base on kings army and kings legacy

  • MORE!

  • vovinam is a weird martial arts i tried it once in Saigon, its like a MM of 50% kung fu ,25% tkd and 25%solider combat style ,and there punches are outdated i think ,i spar with some people they weren't knowledgeable about punching ,they kinda focus on lucky punches and good kicks but that scissor technique they do its dangerous if applied a knife ,its very military

  • Man you got such awesome stories makes me want to Lao Cambodia and Thailand really bad, ive read your story in blackbelt about Tony Jaa whos one of my favorite martial art actors anyway great stuff hope to see more.
