@DerElf1976 if you practice enough you'll expand your range, but the high notes are ad libbed here im pretty sure in the libretto he does not go that high
@TheChocolateLover94 whooo! oh my life i find the 'Ohh' bits the easiest! i cant do the harmonies on the 'moo-oo-ooning' bits ahaaaa! the guy i sing with has a really unique voice so i get all confused hahah! good luck to you too :D <3
@TheDawknob Im Jan for our school show as well from the 7th - 9th of december! and ergh i know right! the 'Ohh...' bits are SO annoying, i can never find the note!! :P Good luck with it :D<3
My school performed Grease last year, and this is the only song I can hear now without cringing. Hearing it over and over and over again can do that. But this song never gets old.
(btw if you wanna hear how high Those Magic Changes goes, don't listen to the London Cast version, cause he sings it differently, so its not quite as high at certain parts. Try the movie version, by Sha na na)
LOL all you kids are complaining about this song!?
I'm a low bass (my lowest note is a double low C) and I am DOODY. I have to sing Those Magic Changes!
But @Zero7965 is right. Practice does indeed make perfect. I've been trying to use my falsetto a lot throughout the day, and now I can usually hit the highest note (which is an F an octave and a half above middle C, if you are singing the optional ad libbed section, which my director is making me do) But I'm afraid I might crack under pressure
Hey to everyone having trouble singing cuz it's too high: Ask the vocal director if they can lower the key down to an f# or an e. That helped me out a lot, but Jan's amazing voice had to be lowered to so she won't be able to use her full potential... yeah hope that helps.
@LaaaMaZ No it's not Craig and Debbie. I don't understand why it says you can download them singing it on iTunes. It's Drew Jaymson and Liz Ewing singing.
@schwa363 I'm more baritone to be honest. I might end up not singing this song though, because our person who was kenickie left, and If I can find myself a replacement then I might get the part!
@halfpin such a fun song. My school just got done with our production of grease last sunday. I was Roger and everyone loved my song. Break a leg with your performance.
So happy I found this! I'm playing Jan in my school's production of grease. So excited now!
