  • Hi. You said the block can be use dozens of times. What happens to where you can't use it anymore??

  • It is not that you can't use it, it is that the image will not transfer as cleanly as earlier transfers.

  • Thanks for making this video. In the past I have used the ink straight from the jar- I like your tip regarding adding water, I would tend to get too much ink at times and the print would suffer, your tip should help with that. I'd like to add that when watching your carving I was afraid you were going to gauge your hands when you carved. I never carve towards my hands. Always away from my body- those blades are razor sharp. The skull was a nice illustration for a single color design. Thanks

  • how should I wash my linoleum afterwards?

  • Use mild soap and water.

  • Ok, but I really wanted to see the cut process.... I have no idea how to cut... or which tools are best or which direction to cut in (left right, down) ?????

  • @kterbo cut away from you i find that easiest

  • There is cutter specifically for linoleum that you can purchase at any art supply store. Push it away from yourself as you remove the linoleum.

  • You should never NEVER cut towards your hand! Place your hand behind the blade for God's sake you were giving me the shakes!

  • That skull came out awesome. Looks great in the frame!

  • @fiberdrunk

I do not, but I make sure there are no pools of ink in the recesses, so I wipe it down with a cloth. After about 4 or 5 prints, I recommend you rinse and wait until it dries to reuse.

  • good lord woman you are gonna cut yourself.. get a cradle for that plate, and cut away from yourself :/

  • for reall small/little carving-blocks. can i just use regular stamp-ink???

  • I love making lino prints :)
