Well, when you are done with your biases and burnings. I would suggest reading this essay where Karl Marx looked at the trend of Modern Industry and globalization of markets. Then states how it would challenge the power of the modern capitalist the same way they used it to overthrow the imperialistic regimes. The exploitation of capitalism upon the working class and so on. You can agree or challenge it's ideas but at least give it an objective view.

As for Socialism, there are many European places in the world that follow a socialist agenda and their economy is doing quite well. I'm referring generally to the Scandinavian countries, where their innovation is ranked higher than USA.

I get the idea that the OP is into Ayn Rand but I would suggest Adam Smith's "An Inquiry into the Wealth of Nations" as a better ideological base for capitalism. I personally think Ayn is a bit "out there".
