Man I sure hope the new game "The Old Republic" shows us what this game couldn't. Hopefully better graphics, better player movement, and way less lag would be a plus....

If you played this game, you know what I mean. While like any other Star Wars fan I played for the quests and story lines, but lets get the picture huh? Didn't we sign up to carry light sabers and to see the full potential, like back in the original movies? I fell asleep once playing this, I was so bored. :(

SWG is a sandbox MMO. It gives the tools for the players to create the Galactic Civil War and build their characters and roles within. Questing and getting loot is only 25% of the game. The trade off in SWTOR will be a great solo storyline quest, and some cool new raids... But no player control over the world and all that content has an end until the next $50 on an expansion.

Would prefer a sandbox star wars in the old republic

@BROCKMAN211 APB is not a MMO. Realtime Worlds ( devloper of APB) even says its not an MMO. Also, Realtime Worlds is revamping the entire APB gameplay, and has admitted its made many mistakes even after closed beta. Im sorry, but it took Realtime Worlds 2 years to make APB and they still didn't get it right. I have to put my money in another company that knows what they are doing.

If your already on one of the high population servers yu cant transfer for free. But the low pop servers offer free transfers. Dead servers are being deleted around the middle of october so hop in to relocate your old characters

If your character is on one of the servers that is deleted it will cost you 50 bucks to retrieve the character after the deletion date...and that doesnt guarantee retrieval of all his/her items

people said this game died but i disagree, i believe this game has thrived, it has so much more to do now and i've played since launch and back then the game was not as fun, it was really new and amazing but now they've put so much more into the game to make it more interesting

SOE's mostly just money-grubbing from SWG players now (TCG mostly) before SWTOR comes out. But I love the game :) Been there since 2005 and I haven't regretted it.

Well, not exactly canceled. They moved everyone off the abandoned servers, but they still say they have no plans to shut down the servers. We don't know what they're planning to do.

It's gaining the population back. We're seeing the "Very Heavy" servers back thanks to the empty servers being forced to go into populated ones. Yeah it was a bad move, but now it just feels a bit more like CU :)

SWG pushes WoW out of the MMO circle atm :). They're adding new things that'll want to make some people stay into SWG and not go into SWTOR. I'M even having second thoughts and I LOVE the Old Republic era.

the beginning shows off the player city we built, and it ends at the rebel hideout on the planet of corellia.

Really just shows the extra bit of effort our guild has been putting into the game for the last 4 years, which makes it an attractive place to play.
