Rivers is gold but those acapella singers have too much bass. If you listen to the beach boys the bass is quietest part of the song. These guys have a 2 to 3 ratio of bass to tenors, and 1 bass singer can overpower 5 tenor/alto singers.

Honestly, I think some people (like myself) first hear some songs he sings and think 'well he doesn't have perfect pitch but I'm starting to like it' and then the more I've listened and after it grows on me, I realize its not so much the pitch as it is his tone. they're two different things and together it can be mistaken as imperfect singing. agree with skarefamena this is inspiring

Although this turned out FABULUOUSLy and Rivers did a commendable job, I still think Brian Wilson's falsetto voice for this song is far superior. Rivers did a very nice job, but sometimes when he had to go to the very high notes (such as in the line "and MAKES me realize") the intonation wasn't very good. Otherwise it was perfect
