  • I want to make my own USB cable for wouxun KG-UVD1 P and i need the pin-out diagrams so that i can connect it to my transceiver. Can you help me on the pin configuration.

  • Thanks for the GREAT video! Just got a KG-UV3D and your video sure made it a snap to program the radio.

  • can anyone tell me how to put a space in the channel name? i read it somewhere but forgot where it was or how too.

  • @ENC016 I read that you have to use a "-" dash or minus sign... but i have not had luck figuring it out. let me know if it works for you.

  • When I look up my arrl repeator directory it would say repeater freq 146.8650 ,repeater input - negative, ctcss 146.2. My question is on the wouxun software. the rx freq, the tx freq, the decode and encode. Where does the arrl info get placed within the wouxun. The ctcss is the encode or decode and is the repeator freq of 146.8650 the rx frq?

  • You don't need to go theouh all the extra headache in the control panel and device manager to figure out the com port unless you have major problems or a "read/write failure" and even then, check everything else first, plug seated all the way, etc. But, 99.99% of the time, you will not have a problem. Windows picks the com port as soon as it sees the USB cable and the

Wouxun("oh-sheng") programming software finds the correct com port as soon as you start the software. But good to know still.

  • @ytTaz480 Actually, you might have had to do that com port stuff with the very first software but any newer or updated software you get now, you won't have to deal with all that.I've used 3 different versions of the software and never had to deal with the com port. It takes care of everything on it's own.

  • Great vid! Just a comment on connection failed message. I had a terrible time with those failure messages and finally determined it to be the radio end of the cable. A little rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball cleaned it right up. Hasn't missed since.

  • very nice, i've got to buy the cable, setting up channels directly from the radio is a little messy

  • I have programmed to the frequencies to my county bands and I get the message Channel 1 Message out of Range. Any idea on how to fix this?

  • @ClaytonCowboy i've got this one too, I don't know how to figure it out

  • Nice video, but I must add a detail: Wouxun is not pronounced as wou-xun but in chinese it's pronounced as wou-shin (quite similar pronounciation as the word "ocean" in english)

  • Nice video. I have yet been able to get mine programmed yet, it will not work what so ever on xp. Gonna try my luck with a vista machine in few days.

ANyone have the most updated software and drivers for it?

    Thanks

  • Hello i have a Dynascan DB-48, is it the same software??? Is it possible to programm frequencies like 470Mhz our 119Mhz??? Thank you

  • Nicly done video. You are right.. ALWAYS do a read first. I use Windows 7 and have had some issues... BTW: COM4 is not *always* the port it finds... BUT again, I use win7, so you may be right.

Good tutorial... Perhaps you will give a review of how your radio works and all that... Hey try AO51 and AO27 satellites :) Yes... the HTs work on them :) 73 John
