  • aww im sorry :((( i have had staph for three years now and i am going to the hospital to get another one drained again tomorrow. i know how this feels.

  • Oh noo :( I hate that for you. I hope you feel better soon, and good luck at the hospital! Get well soon!

  • I had to take care of my ex girlfriend; hers was on her butt and one on back of her knee. The one on the back of her knee started to deteriorate the tendon. They were both getting rather large (size of fist) since neither of us knew what it was.

ATLANTA GIRL!!! I am in Marietta. Been her all my life and love it.

    Hope the infection is better.

  • Wow, your ex's staph infection sounds pretty severe. I hope she's better. P.S., I've always been a been a Georgia girl myself!

  • I also had staph, mine was in the leg, my leg swelled up so big that i could barely walk. the hospital immediatly sent me into surgeory. they actually cut my leg open and took out all the bacteria. i was on antibiotics for 3 weeks. they said i was lucky to still have that leg. staph is nothing fun to deal with.

  • Same with my hand and foreram. Cat bit me and I got it. I was on the strongest antibiotics you can get in pill form w/o having to be put in the hospital. They killed the infection, but the side effects sucked hard! Oh well, small price to pay for keeping a limb.

  • yo i had a staph infection a week ago they drained it but didnt get it all out so i needed surgery it was on my big toe joint on my right foot. im still recovering.

  • I know that's no fun! I promise you'll get better. Take good care if it and eventually there will be nothing but a scar. Good luck!

  • i had a staph infection under my arm, on my shin, and on the back of my thigh. all at the same time O_O

  • Oh wow, yikes! I think you have me beat there. Sounds like you're all healed up. It's nice to meet a fellow staph "victim"!

  • haha yeah... i have a red scar in each place though :(

  • but the way i got it was because i scraped my foot and i got a scab and i slept out under the stars and i woke up and i had a bug layed eggs in it and i like was holly shi8 and my friend panaked and hit me in the leg squishing hte eggs and giving me staff and my the we hiked out in 1 week and a half i could barly walk and 1 only barly made it out

  • Wow that is horrid! Hope things are better for you now!

  • i hade a staff infection it wasent fun but im stubern and affrade of hospitails so i drained it b my self with a thing of peroxide, some gauz and i went to the docters to ask what i should do and after a week of doing that 3 times a day i had to get a surgery to save my foot and ya it sux

  • I'm so glad that you recovered fully, and thank you for posting this and the information. Raising awareness of these types of bacteria is imperative and a public service. Thanks again.

  • Your comment is wonderful. It's appreciative, intelligent, and professional. Definite "thumbs up" for you!

  • wtff, ha.

  • this is my second staph infection got to get them drained was scarey and very painful they are always giveing bactim and its not working well they need to come up with some other treatment this is awfull good luck to you all

  • Thanks! If you get it again you need to insist that you get something stronger than Bactrim. That stuff is weak!

  • hi thank you ya i have it on the back of my leg my thigh and in the last month it came back twice and its driveing me crazy and i know its not from being dirty people are so mean ya know im goin to my doc tomarrow and insist they do something else .how are you doin i hope better bye

  • how do you get them? (staph infection that is)

  • Click "More info" near the video info section (Next to the "Added" date). I go into lots of detail so you can learn all about it. :)

  • Ok! Thanks! I am glad that you are ok now. I heard that once you get them you will always get them. Or it is easier to get them. Is that true? How did you get it on the inside of your thigh? Ingrown hair, or cut? Take care!

  • No problem! Thanks to you too! As far as I know, yes, you can be more likely to get reinfected after the initial infection. My infection, which was actually on my upper, outer thigh, occured after I plucked an ingrown hair. That left a break in my skin, and the bacteria moved right in. The next morning, I had a giant, swollen, red-hot wound on my leg!

  • For MRSA- Pop and drain. Take lots of vitamic C (try kiwis). Get ALLimed or Alliultra, collidial silver, and oil of wild oregano capsuls to take orally. Wash with vinegar, manuka soap, tea tree shampoo. And rinse your mouth with listerine. I want to help others. I've been fighting it for 8 months and the 7 different antibiotics I've been on are nothing compared to oregano oil and ALLICIN (garlic extract). Your doctors are ignorant! Mine laughed at me when I told him about oregano. But IT WORKS!

  • wow... i feel for you... I went to nigeria for the summer and came back and i got the staph... but it was in my forehead by my right eye... and at first we didnt know what it was... Just thought it was a pimple but it kept on growing and then my mother decided to give it a squeeze and everytime she's apply pressure, my eye would swell like immediately... Sucked like a mothr fukr... but I'm better... my hair fell otu a little but I'm okay.. Hope you're feeling better. because i knwo it sucked...

  • Wow what a story! That's crazy! I'm feeling much better ad I'm glad you are, too!

  • Ugh, thats gotta be hell for ya. My sister had staph, and I wasn't allowed to even get near her because she had all these little spots all over her leg.

  • I hope you get better soon.

  • Thank you so much! I'm actually doing a million times better now. It's nothing more than a thick scab!

  • yike that looks like a brown recluse bite

  • It actually was Staph, according to the attending physician in the Emergency Room. I had the same exact symptoms as my first (and much less severe) Staph. But the two can be confusing! :)

  • how long did it last?

  • In total, it took a little over a month for the infection to clear out and for the wound to close up and fully heal.

  • im glad that you are getting better. but how did you get the staph infection?
