  • One thing; is it absolutely essential that I upgrade differentials instead of running stock v6 rear end? I've heard running that much power on a stock v6 rear end will, more or less, ruin it.

  • @powerbolt09 With the X-Charger* Forgot to add that, lol.

  • bahahaha ft hood... kinda missin it right now.. is there a good mustang performance shop there? or did you do everything yourself?

  • All these new mustangs are automatic =/ I will never go back to an auto, there just isn't as much fun in it. It's completely personal preference though.

  • @wolf1010

yes the 2010 models are automatic and also looks like ''shit''

when im finished with saving money i'll buy mustang GT 2005 model v6 or maybe v8 i dont know.. cuz from the new models the 2005 model in my opinion the BEST.

  • That thing sounds awesome!!

  • I plan on doing this for a DD while my GT is being built.

  • Would one of these fit a 98 dodge Dakota 3.9 v6

  • im building my 6 with a sts turbo would u recommend t lock diff

  • yes

  • Its an upgrade that I wouldn't go without, unless a one wheel peel is attractive to you.

  • Maybe changing up the rear end to a 8.8" would help. How are the 3.73's working out?

  • I don't see much reason to yet. I'm laying down the numbers I should be laying down at the dyno with the 7.5 axle and 3.73's. Maybe in the future I'll buy a GT take off 8.8.

  • is it safe to do hard launches with stock 7.5 + 3.73 + LSD?

  • Yes

  • @ancapaaron yeah that stock diff is good for a clean 400 or so rwhp, which is well within the limits with the x-charger you have on it, great sound btw!

  • Can you make a video of the dash showing the acceleration in MPH? I'd love to get my 4.0 Supercharged eventually... If you have time make that video and PM me! :D Thanks a lot

  • thats awsome man, these X- chagers have a great whine to them and really improove peformance, and jw i dont want thsi tos ound like a stupid question but is you car auto or manual?

  • This car is an auto. IMHO its a better deal to get the auto 5R55S than the manual Tremec in the v6. Not only is the 5R55S the same transmission they put in V8 Mustangs, its a rugged little transmission than can handle a lot of what is thrown at it. The manual transmissions differ from V6 to V8...and the V8 Mustang has a far better manual in it than the V6

  • yea i think the GT uses the TR3060 from tremec, V6 has the T5 i heard mixed reviews about fords 5R55S my dad had a simal model in his explorer that had to be revuilt, w/e tho nice car man

  • There is a couple modifications out there for it to beef it up. Level 10 sells gears and bands for it. I'm a little bit reluctant to tear an automatic transmission apart though. Working on an auto looks more difficult than my backdoor garage level of expertise . Last time I saw one of them torn down it seemed like there was enough parts spread out on the ground to cover a city block.

So far the stock transmission handles the increased horsepower and torque.

  • from what ive read on allfordmustang forums, the stock tranny, can hadle around 450 hp/tq... so us modded v6r's are safe to play...lol

  • is that the auto or the manual? ancapaaron is right on the money with the T5 being weaker but I'm not sure what the strength difference is between the two

  • YEA THEY CAN HANDLE UP TO 350 RWHP
