Not everyone needs the diesel, or wants to do a 13 quart oil change every time, or pay for the diesel fuel, or have to take it to a mechanic because they dont know how to work on a diesel, but they can work on a gas motor. Pretty sure those are a few good reasons not to get the diesel.

@19jsy maybe not everybody likes diesel.. diesels start up alot shitter in cold weather, they take much longer to warm up, and they cost alot more for an oilchange and there alot heavier.
