@DarkSolnea 12 certainly didn't feel like most Final Fantasies. It was more gameplay-inclined. The story was not so great. The characters weren't either. They didn't seem to click. I liked Gabranth, Balthier and Fran. The rest were a bore.

Definitely wasn't the best FF (my favourite is FFVIII), but I still enjoyed it. Would have been a lot better if Cocoon wasn't so linear.

Final Fantasy VII is one of the most over rated games of all time. Sure, it was great back in it's day, but many better games were released after it. Heck, even Final Fantasy VIII and Final Fantasy IX were far better. I don't understand what's all the fuss about it, it's one of those games everybody bandwagons on.

Neither is very impressive by today's standards because it just feels like a worse version of something you've seen a hundred times. This is the ONLY damn thing that is good with this DISGRACE of a sequel. 2. RPG means role playing: stats, skills etc. The only thing you do in FFXIII i distribute points to a class without ANY big choices no class mixing like take a few skills from medic mix it with commando etc.

3. AFTER 12 HOURS, other games need like 3 hours max to introduce the most important stuff.
