The PS3 is an awesome piece of technology. The best games console/media streamer/blu ray player and also a web browser and the old phat one can also be used as a linux desktop computer. I have 2 PS3 slims and one phat and the phat one even has a 120GB harddrive. I LOVE MY PS3's!!!

I got my Slim about 2 weeks ago. It's my first PS3 and I'm really happy with it. But it kind of sucks that I invested so much on my xbox. Now that it broke and all. I regret buying all those games for it. Now I'll have to buy them all over again for the ps3. FML :(

Ethernet is always the preferred route to take due to the reliability. I only use Wi-fi if I have to.

the old 60gig isnt bad but the best bundle was the MGS4 80GIG PS3 it has dualshock 3 and it was backwards compatible thats why i bought it

pretty much if you already have a ps3 (especially the old 60gig), keep it. This is not worth it. The only reason I have one is because I don't already own a fatty, I don't care about ps2 compatibility, and I HATE GLOSS >:( The only thing I wish they could have kept from the fatties was memory card compatibility.

I'm not saying it looks cheap by any means, the slim version doesn't look as sturdy as the original PS3. Too bad they removed the media card slots I found them very useful and more intuitive then the card slots on a pc. 120g hard drive standard a top notch decision.

Actually, the 60 gb was by far the best and should still be made, the absence of bc is what keeps me from getting a ps3 because i never had a ps2 and would rather get 1 system instead of 2

I love the 60gig and wouldn't trade it for 2 slims. i mean really. 60 gig can get a little loud but the gaming drowns out the sound. perfect ps2 compatibility is priceless and i cant emphasize this enough. I still play ratchet deadlocked online thanks to my 60gig ps3.

I know on the slim ps2 they skimped a just used one led down from the 2 on the original. I'm wondering if this one shows when you have a disc inside like the current one. I've seen others ask this question too but no one seems to know the answer.

I definately know that is has a green led above the power button thanks to your video. I can't tell if there is a spot for a led above the eject button. If you load a game I bet it lights up blue right above the eject button.

Yeah cool. Since this video I've seen a close up of the led lights and saw the blue and green while a dude was playing ratchet and clank tools of destruction. It really looks nice. Thanks.
