Wait, so what is he even proposing we do? To me, it seems like he is blasting those that are trying to cut carbon emissions, yet he doesn't even have an exact plan of action for what else needs to be done to reduce carbon and "save the world." It's easy to talk and say all those things, but what is he doing? Raising awareness? Great, we know that we can't save the world through a 3-step program and we also know that politics limit our abilities to "save the world." He is much too idealistic.

@uforiac He isn't blasting people that want to cut carbon he is arguing that the cost of cutting carbon emissions is very high and the results of the cuts of carbon on the temperatures will be very small and that there are better ways to spend money that will benefit more people in real time. His "plan" is to show that resources are limited and that if we better utilize our resources we can do more good for more people.

I wish he would have kept within controlling global warming. Of course saving millions of people with no access to water or food is easier and much cheaper, but i'd really like to understand the pros and cons and cost differences of different ways to control global warming itself.

Debat-wise, Bjorn Lomborg is really effective, cristallize the whole debate on the morale subject and he foresees what his opponents arguments are. These debate are really great, love intelligence squared.
