  • Interesting video. Cognitive-Eng org has patents and experience in "mind-reading" neuro technology fMRI, such as documenting / validating PAIN, Cognitive Impairment, Interrogation, and is commercializing unique applications, including their concept of cognitive engrams of specific thoughts.

  • This woman's fear of science really annoys me. I hope most people don't think like that.

  • @Wyldeck The technology itself isn't scary, but the potential uses are. I personally don't want people knowing what I'm thinking without my permission. This also adds problems to the fifth amendment. If I can't at least keep something to myself, it's kinda hard to keep from incriminating myself.

  • @Wyldeck It's not "fear of science" - It's fear of power abusing knowledge to consolidate control ever more... And she's correct to fear that as that is how it's been for a very long time...

  • this is the worst

  • Awesome vid ! thnx

  • Fascinating. Thanks for posting! I'm a lawyer. Re use in court I don't see why this would be treated differently from lie detector tests. You cannot be forced to take lie detector b/c you can't be forced to incriminate yourself AND of course they're not admissable in most places.

  • "A surprising development that brain researchers have found using fMRI is that everyone's conceptual mapping is roughly the same." Sorry but why on earth would the NOT be roughly the same? People left arms are roughly in the same place too

  • The prevailing theory was that the functions were genetically common (sensory input & motor control) but that conceptual frameworks would be individual. (Holographic theories) In fact many people have rewired brains that are different because of damage. But it now has been shown to be a bit of both. The rough framework is common to normal brains, and the details of their experiences are unique.

It will be interesting when they compare people that speak different languages.
