The building Oscar and Felix is standing in front of is 1049 park avenue. Today its a co-op building. (converted to a co op in 1984). A year ago I saw on a real estate website an apartment in that building was up for sale. A 2 bedroom/2 bath apartment (with maids room, making it a 3 bedroom) and even a wood burning fireplace (similarities aside, the photos showed that it looked nothing like Oscar and Felix's apartment).
