I agree. You can hear the smile in his voice here. He had a great sense of humour so would have loved doing this catchy little number. Slowpokecat's comments about Luciano being able to sing the phone book and make it sound good are very apt, too.

I've been a fan of opera for over 30 years. Big P was not my favourite, I have to admit. I also admit that there were several recordings and live performances which were a bit special. This never fails to bring to mind his sense of humour.

Im never a opera fanatic..nor acquainted with names of those arias..but listening to the music of this man is so enchanting..his golden voice..the manner he delivers those notes oh my God..it chills down to my spine..it will have a hard long time filling the void this man had left..Gracias senor Pavarotti..sing now with the angels with your beautiful music...Hope to see you there..
