It's easier to do this by letting the actual ps1 game boot to the PSX Screen then removing your finger off the sensor then put your backup in so you dont scratch the hell out of the disks.

@andree1991 This method does work but its different for the one i have Silver slim has 3 sensors to mod and the black slim has only 2 that you need to mod and yes you can play MGS1 and yes you can change the discs all you have to have is a ps1 memory card to load your save game when you insert disc 2

well i forgot to mention that when the screen of the game your playing tells you plsease insert Disc 2 or 3 etc whatever kind of game you are playing if its Metal gear , final fantasy, or any other multi disc game as soon as you get the screen lift the tape from the bottom right sensor and change your disk with an ORIGINAL after its starts spinning again(make sure you put the tape back on) after 1 SECOND swap it with the second disc and it should work ! i did this with lunar and FF7 !
