really great, very excellent rendition, but the progression is different in the chorus, ascending chords gives it a "more promising" or "happier" feel than the original, which diminishes the value of the "happy" "promising" part toward the end. changes the tone of the song quite a bit. leave that happiness till the end of the song like the original.

It is unfortunate that the VMAs carry the brevity in the industry to market to the american people what musical talent is supposed to look like, when the majority of it doesn't compare to the unsigned, unknown artists out there in the world practicing their asses off. really great, very excellent rendition, but the progression is different in the chorus, ascending chords gives it a "more promising" or "happier" feel than the original, which diminishes the value of the "happy" "promising" part toward the end. changes the tone of the song quite a bit. leave that happiness till the end of the song like the original.

usually I just leave music on youtube playing in the background, but for this one the setting was simply perfect for the song. not the best cover to be perfectly honest (but hey, still awesome and it's such a difficult song - don't even think sara bareilles herself manages to completely pull it off) but it still mesmerised me :)
