I've only read two of his books. The City and the City (which I liked) and Embassytown (which I did not). He's a talent and an interesting thinker. One of very few writers with a unique style.
I liked Perdido street station, (liked the imaginitiveness, but it was little more than balls to wall action; which i have nothing against) The Scar was what really got me into his work. Went from being somewhat dreary to completely insane in the matter of a few pages.
