After the hit, he even maintains eye contact with the quarterback while he is on the ground. Anyone who is a knowledgeable fan of the game of football knows that look. It is equivelent to calling him a chump.

i was at the game i work in the stadium private sweets and i saw this play...completely rediculous. I know he might have been tackled by the LSU player anyways but still he put his shoulder into him and moved forward.

lmao. The ref sees the quarterback, side-shuffles to the quarterback while maintaining eye contact, keeps his hips and arms low and when the quarterback gets to him, he steps into him and even follows through with his arms to ensure he pushes the quarterback backwards.
After the hit, he even maintains eye contact with the quarterback while he is on the ground. Anyone who is a knowledgeable fan of the game of football knows that look. It is equivelent to calling him a chump.

That is intentional! Im a South Carolina and i think the SEC should fine and fire him....that was a horrible thing to do. He looked like he wanted to hit him. The Referee was from Kentucky and played as a LB for Kentucky

Nice edit - especially the "clean hit" part at the end. This vid also shows the ref's actions nicely, due to the angle being shot. Knowing how crazy SEC football fans are, using the word "shot" in conjunction with this ref might just be foreshadowing. :)

yeah, he really did. It's pretty ridic. the clip of the ref hitting the South Carolina play that's spliced into the commercial is from this past weekend's LSU vs South Carolina game. And the SEC just said afterwards that the ref was in "an appropriate position to defend against a change of direction by the runner". What BS!
