Bishop Costa, from whom the ICCEC's apostolic succession is derived, was excommunicated by the Catholic Church. He then started his own, sectarian church. Hence, the apostolic succession derived from him, while technically valid, is illicit.
The Charismatic Episcopal Church has its Apostolic Succession within the historical episcopate through Roman Catholic Bishop Carlos Duarte Costa. This Apostolic Succession of the CEC has been confirmed by the Roman Catholic Church. All 40 Bishops who serve worldwide, as well as all clergy of the CEC are undeniably within Apostolic Succession.

@keith920718 Are you saying that the ordinations performed before his excommunication are illicit? Or are the ordinations performed after his excommunication illicit? Does his excommunication invalidate his ministry prior to his excommunication? If it does, there are a lot of invalid sacraments in both the Catholic Church and is sectarian church.
@TheWink56 I'm saying after, which is when the line the ICCEC lays claim to began. Besides, *any* ordination not performed in union with the Church is illicit. Costa's authority was bequeathed to him through the papacy. Therefore, any use of that authority in direct opposition to the papacy is illicit. We never see, in Scripture or in Tradition, apostolic succession as a license to do one's own thing. Those who were "sent" were sent as legatees of the Church, not themselves.

That is simply not true.

This "Church" has no apostolic succession. It is false.
