Why does Lex elbow Lionel on "you killed my father"?

Mostly just to show Lex using superpowers against someone. If you wanted to look deeper into that clip you could assume that Lionel tried to stop Lex at some point just like in that episode from the show.

Nah I didn't want to get too deep into Clark's Kryptonian origins for this one. It was there to show Lex's strength and maybe hint at a subplot dealing with Lionel trying to stop Lex. Then again you could think of it that way if you want. Since I didn't put too much information into the trailer about that it is a bit ambiguous and is open for different meanings

This actually wasn't too bad. I read in the comments that you use Final Cut Pro, and from the editing in the trailer it definately shows. The video editing was good, as were your various manipulations.

However, where this trailer needs some serious work is with the audio. There were all types of cracks and pops in it, along with some pretty rough audio edits.

This gets an 8/10 for a great concept, music choice, and editing overall. But the sound needs work.

thanks. i did manipulate the dialogue a bit. "with everything i can do" is from season 4's pariah when clark is blaming himself for alicias death to john. "with" again is from pariah. "all" its from season 5's void at the end when clark says"ALL i want is for you to be happy" to lana. "my powers" is from season fives Hidden at the end when clark says "i never should have given up MY POWERS" to chloe.

"why" is from the end of season 5's scared when clark asks fine "WHY are you here. "couldn't i save my father" is at the end of season 5's mercy when clark is talking to lionel. "you COULDNT". i think i spliced together peices of "i save" from this scene too. "my father" was from "johnathan kent was MY FATHER". i hope this helps.

Kick ass job man.

Loved the use of Cells and how you kept the style of the Sin City traier with the actor cards. The video editing in this was fantastic. My only real gripe was that the audio was pretty rough at times. Some of the audio work was great like with Clark talking about Lex being there when Johnathan died. But other times it was really rough.

So overall the video editing was great and you kept true to the feel of Sin City. I just think the audio could be cleaned up a bit.

thanks for the compliments and suggestions. i think the audio problems that your talking about is because some of the dialgue in my trailers doesnt exist as it is from the show. i cut together pieces of dialogue to get the characters to say things that i want them to say for the trailer.

the complication with that is if i need clark to say "lex was there the night my dad died" then i need to find clark saying "lex" in the same tone or close to the same tone as the rest of the sentence to get it to match. some times i cant find a perfect match so the audio suffers slightly. its as cleaned up as i can make it with what i have to work with

hey thanks for the comment grownsomuch. im glad that you enjoy my videos. the reason i decided to not go with smallville as a title is cuz im twisting the universe in these trailers a bit. in a way, some of these arent trailers for smallville. true its footage from smallville but im putting little twists on them to try and make them seperate from the show in some sense. i always include smallville in the link title but in the actual trailers i like them standing on their own to some degree.
