Would have to disagree. This movie was well wrote, directed& the acting was believable. The movie would still be good even if it had an ugly leading man. Remember Me is a perfect title and tells a great story. Not many ppl, kids especially care about Sep.11 or think about hurting others most any more seem to be amused by others pain. Um you couldn't be more wrong. This movie was good! You're blinded by the stereotype that he can only play Edward Cullen, this movie was amazing! The ending made me sob, and Rob was a much better actor then I expected. You really didn't explain any of your critisism.

LIke wth? normal romance? just because it was believable and all the real life issues were in it, doesnt mean that that takes away from the romance. Normal every day romance defines romance btw. You should not be a critic if this is how you rated this movie.

wow, I didn't like this movie, but she is totally wrong. This isn't an "ordinary love story". It's not a love story at all. There's no connection between the characters at all aside from the sex and the occasional cry on the shoulder. It's barely love. And then the blatant abuse of tragedy for the sake of a plot twist? Not to mention some of the worst writing ever. I'm going to agree with CMeilach and say this woman had nothing but ambiguous and meanless input.

I don't think the ending was a 'blatant abuse of tragedy'.... No different from a movie set during the Holocaust or WWI or Rwandan massacres...... made me quite weepy....

well i'm extremely biased since i'm one of those fans who hangs on everything robert pattinson says or does. but still, i don't think this is a very good review. she doesn't explain or back up any of her criticism. it sounds like something that anyone wanting to critique a film could say. she doesn't explain if its the film making, writing, acting, or the whole combination which makes this love story so "ordinary," which i definitely think it is not. its unique and beautiful and unexpected.

The tragedy is that people go to see Romantic Dramas expecting to be utterly swept off their feet by the sheer beauty of the love depicted... and entirely miss the point of this movie, which was in fact to showcase a real, everyday type of romance. Like another commenter said, the Essense of the film wasn't to make for a great love story, but to make for a great life story. The essence of it is to live life against all odds & loss.

The scriptwriter used the event not because it was the latest tragedy or to cash in some tears, it was because the event itself was something no one thought of as possible and totally unexpected. Like what Tyler thought of when he heard of Ally's dessert-first theory, "what are the odds of an asteroid hitting the restaurant?" And truth is, no one can guarantee what can happen in life, no matter how small the possibilities seem like. The essence of it is to live life against all odds & loss.

i've noticed the people who don't fully understand the negative reactions to the ending were either too young to fully comphrend what was going on back then or just didn't care much for when 9/11 hit.

The same effect the writers wanted at the end could have been achieved in other ways. The writers DID NOT need to "cash in" on a major event that many people just can't forgive. it's like adding serious insult to major injury.

And I give credit where credit is due, Rob acted his sweet ass off in this movie. Sorry if you wanted some fairytale romance (watch Disney then!) This movie is honest! Tragedy strikes everyday and families are torn apart. I'd rather watch something profound and meaningful than something cliche and unrealistic. But this is just my opinion!

And if she was paying attention this movie is NOT just a love story in the romantic sense, it is about family relationships and dealing with loss as well. i thought it was incredible and well worth seeing.

I feel sorry for people who don't truly appreciate how great a movie this is. I didn't go in with high expectations, but I was very surprised by Robert and all the other cast. The ending was surprising, but it also took us by surprise too. We didn't wake up that morning and know what was going to happen did we?

Live each day .. that's what Remember Me tried to convey. But Betsy Sharkey obviously wanted some cuddly cliche romance movie.

although i'm a 16 year old girl, i never really got into twilight or the whole robert pattinson craze so i'm not biased.

the acting was very believeable, there were many unexpected twists, and i really enjoyed the movie.

i found the scenes with tyler and the younger sister especialy touching. nobody the end coming either, it shocked the whole theater!

This critic is so wrong in SO many ways. This movie was definetly not ordinary. I was dragged to see this with my Twilight obsessed girlfriend. I came in as a massive skeptic as I hated Twilight films but this film truly captivated me. From the first scene I knew this wasnt going to be an ordinary film. not knowing what the next day, or even the next second may bring and this movie

so brought this to life. It was a great learning movie for everyone and the acting

by Rob Pattinson and Emilie deserve Oscar acknowledgement for sure.

i went and saw the film last night and I thought it was very well done. I haven't seen a film with this type of emotional pull since "love Story"....yes i'm old enough too remember "love Story". Robert did an awesome job with this movie. I would go to see this movie again gladly. But next time i'll remeber to take tissues. I read the script months ago and feel in love with it then. But seeing it put on the Big Screen you get a different perspective. ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!!!!!

This movie was amazing. The acting was great, the story was so real. I'm so tired of fake storylines. This was real and touched the heart of so many of us who watched it today. Rob was amazing. i honestly loved this movie...as much as i love Rob, his acting in twilight is mediocre to say the least... but i just got back from watching this movie, and i am pleasantly surprised by how wonderful he did. He was so believable in the way he communicated with his SOB father, sis little sis, and with Ally. and i think he will get even more better with more experience. Dont put him in that box of "brooding hot vampire that cant act to save him life" Top 10 greatest movies i have ever seen!
