  • Never sound as good as Little Walter? Undoubtedly not, only one of him ever made. But I tell you what - if Little Walter were sitting listening to you play the harp like that, he'd be very impressed! You should add some more videos -pleeeeeeaaaasssse????

  • Ok...count me impressed..I'd just about kill to be able to do that :)

  • i love this

  • That was really good! Which keys do you play this song?

  • These guys are good, because they're not trying to substatute wattage for talent.... I apreciate that. Take a lesson from that all you blues wanna' be's out there from some one who knows what he's talking about.

  • Nice. You don't need to sound like Little Walter, thats damn fine as it is.

  • geez..who is that on harp? got any other postings or lessons on utube?

  • holy crap--you can sure play that harp!!!

  • what you be talkin bout willis?!!!!

  • HEY DURK20

what you be talkin bout willis??

you must be an air supply kindda guy huh!!!

  • no way man, these guys are as close to the aunthentic sound as it gets and the harp player is playing with a ton of soul. You have to be blind.

  • Well done! You're sooo good!

  • Fine Soundin` Blues Harp!

  • LOVE IT! Thanks for the TIP!doda26

  • great job, do you tongue block all of this? because you have great tone*****

  • with the exception of 3 or 4 notes yes all tongue block ... which I believe Walter did on the original ... Thanks for the kind words ... glad you liked it ...

  • Nice rendition with a vocal mic B...Tasty &

Very Honorable. Can't image trying to do

these tunes with loud west coast guys,

unless I got em drunk first.

LW had another unreleased tune he cut

    called "It's 12:15 bitch...Now get out my

    damn face".....;))))))

  • Very impressed.

    You guys kick ass!

  • That was ridiculously good guys. Why don't you wash out your harp with some reverb??? Even Little Walter used a little reverb on this track. I play guitar but I've been wanting to learn some harp and this just put me over the top to play.

  • where do you guys play at? id love to see a set.

  • That was well done! If you ever make it out to california id would love to see it live.

  • I gotta tell 'ya, I'm not generally in favor of young white guys playing the blues...but you are the definite exception. That one just blew my socks off. You obviously have a deep understanding and reverence for da blues.

  • Who you callin white? Last time I checked I had a nice brown permanent tan, hehehe ... anyways , the point is its doesnt really matter what colour you are , the important thing is that you play from your heart and mean every note or word you play ... sing your own blues and have understanding for others ... but I'll tell ya what ... Im really glad you like the music and I hope you can be uplifted by it ... Thanks for the kind words ...

    Bharath

  • very good,

im trying to learn harmonica atm but more folky bob dylan stuff. Man ur crazy that was heaps good i wanna learn how to play like that only thing is no one where im from teaches that so i gota teach myself

    check my videos please

  • You must definitely be kidding, reveal us that you're playbackin' with the original soundtape of Walter Marion Jacob's 11:45PM ??

    It's really 'damn' good !!

  • Thank you very much for the kind words ... Im glad you like it ...

    Bharath

  • AAA+++

  • this is insane !!!

  • maaaaaan!....that is a muthafuckaaaaaa,i gotsta hav me mo o' dat shit. badass n' kool brothers.

  • you sound great - your band looks & sounds fantastic

  • bravo super merci de votre visite

  • Now what's wrong with that? Little Walter would be proud.

  • I can only hope he would be, I have a lot of fun learning from him ... thanks for saying so

  • soo great!!! fuckking great!!!!!!

  • Thank you very much

  • I can't believe how these guys can make past music history so authentic! Well done... I love this stuff!

    Bharath

  • oh baby did i learn something today....we are a duo playing hot tuna and just added a very good harp player and now i see you guys? wow...thanks for the direction and inspiration from nj...

  • I love your tone. Your playing inspires me. The band is just fantastic too. This is a truly sweet combo. I'm hooked. :)

  • Hey thats the way its done! No rock, and west coast mumbo jumbo,Just plain blues that sounds like blues. The reason none of the other so-called bluse bands dont play Walter is because they cant play it,period.Rock n Roll aint the blues Kim,Rod,Your loud drummers are a sign you have lost touch with the Blues.

  • I'd love to see Kim do a show at our Juke ... by the sounds of some of his recordings , I think he'd be able to relax and just have a good time with it ... that room is magic man ... the people demand nothin but good honest music ... and we love givin it to em ...

  • the first thing a soundguy does is get the drums so bloody loud...but I agree, gotta play quiet and speak to the audience

  • I gotta say though Kim and Rod are in Big business and play mainly in large venues where it's really hard to even get a good sound and especially hard to get a good soundman who wants to capture intimacy...

  • Well my friend I thank you for your kind words...I'm glad you enjoyed it and hope you enjoy all our videos ...I agree that blues does not need to be really loud , and in fact is way more powerful when played quietly ...

  • Sorry for being rough on Kim,Rod but hey loud is loud,Im sure they are doing exactly what they want (permoteing loud bluse) There not the only ones either.I cant even listen to bluse radio because it sounds like Lound rock n roll. You guys keep it up and I like your rendition of (talk to me baby) I think you had it up about a year ago.For anyone who dont know ,these guys do alot more than just Walter.

  • too kind my friend ... Im glad ya like em , come hang out wit us in Montreal when ya gets a chance ...

    B

  • brother you got me hooked! i spent the whole fucking day watching your videos again. I'm commin out that way soon brother and we gots to hook up man.

  • you guys are outta site! back to basics with skill, class and know how!

  • That's the way to do it brother! God Damn!!!!! You know thats my tune! You nailed it bro. Sick tone man accoustic too. You got the vocal mic plugged into the masco or just through the PA?

  • Just through the PA , Thanks bub...

  • Hey, I've worked with Otis Rush, BBColeman, numerous others.........that's the stuff!!!! Stand back Piazza, Wilson!

  • Wow , I don't know what to say man ... thank you ... Im sure Piazza and Wilson have nothin' to worry about haha ... but I thank you so much , I hope you can enjoy all of our videos alike ...

    Bharath

  • Way to stick it!!! Walter would dig it!!

  • Thank you man , I can only hope so ...

    B

  • tasty...ever hear the red devils & lester butler version?

    !!!!!

  • Thanks , Yes I have heard it, he plays it more like blue lights right?

  • Bravo

  • Really nice playing. Look up Tom Ellis on the web. He's got the best selection of vintage mics around. I've always found it hardest to play through a vocal mic. If you can sound good on a clean mic, that means your tone is top notch (as is the case for Cotton).

Nice accompaniment too. Great comp work. It's nice to watch bands that listen to each other.

  • Yeah, real blues harp sound!

  • Great Job! Great Band!!!!!

  • brill . these boys can knockout some cool blues

  • F#$@king great!
