Forcing companies to buy American, when American products might be inferior, which is why they haven't been able to compete, would circumvent the free-market system and remove their incentive to make better products. They should focus on helping American companies by more competitive by reducing corporate taxes across the board and doing away with any "unnecessary" regulation that adds additional cost to the bottom line of companies. That would be the truly Pro-American thing to do.

'm not surprised with EA laying off workers, developers and closing some studios. I'm sorry for the workers and developers. But what with the high price of both computer and video games, mediorce games, treating legitimate customers as potential thieves and software pirates, instituting DRM malware into their games that have the potential of games not running properly or not at all. And in which EA is trying to kill the second hand market and also encourage+ force people to console games.

and the game play and DRM/SecuRom fiascoes of Mass Effect and especially of Spore, I don't buy EA games and hardly any computer games anymore. I just play the ones that I have had for years like Fallout 1,2 and the Might and Magic series. And also certain indie games-tons of them at BigFishgames, Blitzbasic forums and also those over at Pygame.
