The video serves its purpose, and Dr. Leape does a fantastic job of thoroughly explaining how to address a patient following malpractice. What a great resource for all health professionals.

I think this video is supposed to demonstrate the effects of dementia. This old fella is out of touch with reality. Go try this forgive and forget stuff in the nursing home old fella. Here in the real world trial lawyers will eat you alive.

This sounds really good - but not the real world. I'm a nurse: reported bad drs who'd pass out in patient rooms & write bizarre orders. Another sent an obese pt home w/a xverse incision starting to dehisce.He wouldn't listen-she trusted him. She 'unzipped' at home & died the next day..I copied these errors & wrote up the docs. I was fired. The DON made it clear docs bring in $ & I don't. So much for honesty & openness etc. It's all about money. If you can hide the mistakes, that's what's done

As a doctor, I have also been forced to watch severe abuse by fellow physicians, including sexual assault and severe psychological abuse leading to suicide of the patient. Any attempt to stop the machine of abuse resulted in severe retaliation, in part to maintain the doctor's psychopathology and their career. And of course, almost all of those abusive doctors have strong connections to Harvard.

Very nice presentation by Dr. Leape, but nothing has changed. I have been severely harmed by multiple practitioners in multiple ways but no one apologized, except one secretary and that was because I caught her by surprise. I have been left alone with severe, unstable injuries that are painful, retaliatory strikes by by fellow doctors (including various forms of rape), unstable mental status due 2 iatrogenic malpractice, and permanent social isolation. My family was allowed to abuse me & my sis.
