Not so, US occupation officially ended on 20 May 1902. Work on the Cuban Capitol building started on December 1917 and it was inaugurated in 1929.
I'd like to correct the information, Old American tankers are very common in Cuba, many of them in mint condition!
however besides Russian (Lada, Volga, Moscoivich) and Polish (Porki) cars..there are also French (Peugeot), German (Citroen, BMW, Benz) Italian (Fiat, Alfa-Romeo) and British (Opel) Spanish (Seat) and many Japanese brands (Nissan, Toyota, Mitsubishi, etc) Korean cars (Rexton, Hyuindai, Kia) Chinese (QQ) ...all these other imports are new and available for rental and purchase.
