  • I love sirens. I could actually fall alseep to them.

  • tell her that could be her house

  • @WestPlainsFD Thanks for uploading the videos! I hope all your men and women made it home that night and all lives were saved! Fire Fighters are true super heroes! I for one can not wait to join the brotherhood next year after academy here in Michigan! Thank you! God Bless

  • wait when did someone complain about the sirens?

  • some people are stupid. you have to have sirens going because you want to be heard. no offense but tthat lady is stupid. we had the same thing happen with our department. the lady complained because it woke her kid up. oh well if you don't like sirens you come and go to the fire call at 1 in the morning. that will shut you right up.

  • No one injured in the end right

  • They aren't abusing their equipment dumbass. they use siren to warn oncoming traffic. Just because you see no headlights doesn't mean there are no cars around.

  • We had a citizen complain about our sirens before. Chief looked at her and said " Just remember when you hear those sirens you get to go back to sleep but my men will be up the rest of the night"

  • @ntfd125 Sounds like a good Chief. I'm thankful for the Chief I have as well.

  • @ntfd125 Before I retired as a captain, I had a theory about those who would complain. Our town had about 99.5% of the citenzery who completely appreciated the fire department and supported us whole heartedly, and never complained about us doing what we had to do in the course of our duty (sirens at night, blocking off roads etc.). The other 0.5% just hadn't needed us yet.

  • @covewatcher I'm in the higher class end of our city and it seems that they seem to be the ones with the least amount of respect. I would gladly work in the poverty end because they at least appreciate what we do.

  • @ntfd125 Amen brother. I, (and it is highly likely by your comments we share much thought in common) like you was never "glory hungry" or in it for people to be fawning all over us or doing back flips because we showed up. It was nice however to receive a heartfelt thank you, or a hug from someone for whom you may have just saved the only few nice things they ever had. You knew they meant it, and that was worth more than all of the bajillion dollar donation checks in the world to me.

  • @MissouriPoDunk That is correct missouri

  • I am a dispatcher in Alberta, and it's great to see things fro this end of the radio. Our policy is to to go hot for EVERY Delta and Echo call, no matter what time of day or night, and no matter how many people are sleeping. When lives are at stake, who cares who gets woken. Better to be woken by the sirens going past your home than a phone call to say they are responding to your loved one.

  • @gazettegirl1 That is a very good point and thank you for your response!!

  • @gazettegirl1: or sirens getting closer to your home and realizing either your house or your neighbors house is on fire

  • What camera was this?

  • @5blackguys The cameras I use as ''dash cams'', are just Flip Cams. My wife found these for me online, they make great dash cams. Get online and look up Flip-cam, some Wal-Mart stores are carrying them now. I have 2 of them and have been very pleased with their performance.

  • @WestPlainsFD Thanks. These look pretty awesome actually. I have a gopro and its pretty useless at night lol Thanks again!

  • great response,i enjoyed this video

  • @westplainsfd this is great please make more

  • This is a great video.

My only question is what time of the evening was this response?

I saw only one car on the road and that was on arrival. You might want to

ease up a bit on the Q and horn. People do like to sleep.

The siren is a warning device. Try not to abuse your equipment

  • @ffhughes5854 I`m from Austria riding the Engine at the City of Vienna Fire Dept. We should not use the Siren during night time. Nobody is on the streets you do not need the siren. For what ? your opinion is mine dude :)))

  • @TheEMS41 I understand your point of view, but it is protocol to run both the "Q" and the electric siren whenever we are responding to a call.

  • @ffhughes5854 Why would they be abusing their equipment? You're not an emergency vehicle UNTIL lights AND sirens are activated... So what you're saying is that rather than US get to a scene safely or quickly, people would rather sleep? Are you half retarded?

  • @lfdlumpy

    Or fully retarded

  • @ffhughes5854 Abuse equipment. You are not the boss of every fire department. Lay off, if their guidelines are to use siren and Q no matter what the circumstances are, they could get in trouble if they don't use it. Oh and WestPlainFD, Keep them awesome videos coming. Every one is new and exciting and I enjoy them a lot.

  • nice video as always.

whats with the clicking sound in the cab? and are you located near a high way?

  • @UJustR4pedMe The clicking sound is the lock box on the passenger seat, and this was on a residential street, not near a highway. Station 2 is near hwy 63, the bridge that 4622 went under is hwy 63.

  • @WestPlainsFD I meant the station. But thanks for the reply

  • @UJustR4pedMe I thought maybe you meant the station. And not a problem...thanks for watching!

  • @WestPlainsFD Your quite welcome. And keep them coming.

  • 1st lol but hey keep up up the good vids and stay safe brotha love the frightliner lol how long you been a ff?
