its weird cuz london def sounds a lot higher than the other places she sang in 1985, 86 and beyond in the 80s. This is either some special concert where she chose to sang much higher, or all the people who recorded these 86 london concerts raised her voice up a bit. If you lower the pitch, she sounds similar to how she sang for the rest of the 80s. :P

@eric101893 Her voice naturally lowered in 1988. She became more of a mezzo soprano in the late 80's and so on. She was more of a spinto soprano during 1983-1986.

I am a HUGE. Whitney fan and forever will be- but, personally, I think that she has one of the greatest voices in contemporary or popular music. We cannot forget to underestimate Opera or Classical singers who constantly sing at the top of their range day after day, and who never seem to fail ONCE (Well, rarely) with the exception of NO microphone. Whitney is just an incredible improvisationist with an exceptional mezzo-soprano voice. Still, I WILL ALWAYS LOVE MISS WHITNEY HOUSTON!

Get the facts right this note is A5, and Whitney was the highest effortlessly soprano possible in this clip. I can think of no other soprano effortlessly as high period. Also, she is now a second soprano, because she is not using her upper register. She is not an alto, will never be!

I meant it was unusual for someone else to quote kmaur21 reports about her being a Soprano. People often correct him by telling what note it actually is. For example, he thinks she hit a B5 in chest in NLMLYD, London 1986...It was actually G5/G#5. Take it from me, highnote32...NOT kmaur21.
