  • Why are your power buttons always on the back? I do plug my stuff into power conditioners, but I don't like my tube pre amps running all the time if I'm not even going to use it.

  • @thegoatbird22 That's a good point. I'll pass this suggestion on to the product dev team.

  • A TRS or XLR-to USB or Firewire interface would be ideal, fortunately we make a lot of those sorts of things... Check out the FireStudio Mobile.

  • what do you need to hook this up to a laptop?

  • @dmedzmusic lol

  • I was really happy with the sound the studio channel gave me right out the box noticed an immediate difference.

  • voxis VPR801 the best 100% brazil

  • ... So come on, I'm sorry ... I bought a mic 100 behringer and repented, it is a waste. I'll buy this one PRESONUS there and achieve my dream, but then picked up a hammer and break all the behringer

  • @educaralegal dude, I have no idea what you're trying to say...

  • How do I connect this to my mixing board?

  • If I take a "LightSnake USB Microphone cable" and Connect to the Output of a "PreSonus StudioChannel Tube" directly to my laptop will That work?

  • This may sound like a stupid question, but with the Presonus studio channel, you can only record one track at a time, right?

  • why is the switch on the back?!!

  • Hello everybody!

I'm recording raps with a AKG c3000 microphon and a firebox interface. do you think i can optimize my sound when i buy a presonus studio channel and put it before my firebox?

  • @millwaypro . what recording program are you using to record on. Im using nuendo 3, but having the hardest time getting the computer to read the presonus studio channel. its recording and all, but i cant open it in nuendos software to change the buffer and latency settings. any ideas? ANYBODY?

  • Is This Good For Rapping

  • @Creativemindz517 This is good no matter what type of music you do. I rap and it has given me that million dollar studio sound, no noise and a crisp clear sound.

  • @millwaypro i dont hear a million dollar studio sound when i listen to your music honestly ive heard people with a 700 dollar set up that sound better then what you have

  • @JayTee386 Most of the stuff I have uploaded right now is just demo material before I upgraded my system. I never said or implied that I have a million dollar system or sound but I'm building it up slowly. All my new material that will be released this summer will be professionally mixed and mastered so you will hear better quality material this summer.

  • @millwaypro so which one is better this one or the dbx 376?

  • @Creativemindz517 Why? rapping? This is best saved for REAL music and true sound and tone seekers.

  • I love my Studio Channel, but BIG mistake to put the power switch on the rear end though. It's made to sit in a rack afterall :/

  • @alexfrbc I am so pist about that too. I think they did it intentional to burn out the tube fast. It is a great piece of gear though have no other complaints

  • @alexfrbc Yeah i know what ya mean. Just Hook it up to a power conditioner and hit the off switch when you dont need it. But yes, i agree they NEED to move the power switch to the front!

  • Presonus say me that never will have a "digital expansion card" for the STudio Channel, like in the Eureka.

  • could any1 explain how to hook this up with a motu828mk3.

  • Go out of the StudioChannel into one of the line inputs on your 828.

  • I Got 2 Now! worth every penny, & sounds phat......

  • @Mechie1500 Hi: I'm trying to improve my sound. How do you plug this unit to a guitar amp ? is it through slaving or just in front of the amp's input? Or through the effects loop? (I guess not).

Can u run it using only the compressor and eq without the pre amp part??

    Thanks.

  • @dekzan Hey man, I bout this to do the same. How did it work for you? I use emg's so i am pluging into the back of it. I using to to tighten my sound up. You have any Recommendations with it?

  • Works excellent as a bass pre for studio or live

  • do i need a separate power source to use this or can i just plug my bass in it, then straight to a cab, badabing badaboom?

  • No, you need some kind of power amplifier. All the preamplifier does is raise the signal to line level which isn't nearly strong enough to push any speaker. You could run it in the effects return of a bass head or into a stand-alone power amp.

  • yeah, i would have like too see some demo setting!

  • why no show setting?
