  • They have machines for this. They are called chinese children. Just kidding.

  • I am full of admiration for your way of thinking. You are on the right way! See my 6 video here ( " Ukrainian loom" )

  • I am an idealist and I have watched this video. My thoughts are 1) is this knitting thing your invention and if so why do you need me? and if it is'nt, why do you need me? You know the solution already so just make it! By the way what is in it for me?

  • I saw on the "Authentic Knitting Loom" site a tool that was being used that had two picks, like what you are looking for. Essentially it was a small block of wood, that that a dental pick on each side, creating a tool with 2 picks. The size of the block, plus the width of the dental picks would have to be fashioned so that the total width of the double pointed tool coinsides with the exact width of the 2 pegs on your loom.

    Hope this helps.

  • Loom knitting goes so quickly, that a single hook tool works great for me. I would suggest a better quality tool, other that that Knifty Knitter tool - like a good quality dental pick. I use a good quality dental pick, and I use a very thin clear plastic tubing (that you can get in a hardware store), and insert the tool handle into it so it's more comfortable in my hand. I cut the tubing longer than the tool handle so it doesn't cut into the palm of my hand.

    Hope this helps.

  • What if there was an insert? For example if you placed in the insert (or maybe it could even go around the outside?) that has hooks that sit in the grooves of the pegs, then "e" wrap around 2 times and lift the insert. Then put the insert back in under the remaining "e" wraps, wrap again and repeat????

  • liike a mini rake or something like that -

I tried to see if my back-scratcher would work, but it doesnt - lol.

  • Hey Mike, Tha wold be a great idea...You need to copyright your idea and then approach DA Looms or Markam loom (I don't like her but anyway-sneaky woman) there are other big ones too. ANd get them to make it for you and then take most of the shares and split the rest with them. Doesn't hirt to ask anyway. But protect yourself first.

  • Hi Mike it's called machine knitting babe!

  • I want a hand tool than can toss it up over the edge... because the knitting machines that I have seen totally destroy the bulky look to the project.

BTW... I am not mad at ya... I love you dearly for the skill you taught me.

  • Mikey, I so agree with Beth......You are the inventor! You need to find a product designer or something to help you with this!!!

  • There are the tools with three and five eye-loops on the ends for machine knitters. You would think there would be a triple-pick for the loom knitter. Mikey, you are the inventor; you just need a manufacturer!

  • Don't tell anyone. I used to be a product designer. I worked as a car designer for Magna International in my early 20's. I know the work involved. I can design the moulds to make this, but I don't have the resources or cash flow to do it... I tried constructing a sample yesterday out of a coat wire because I need the strength but the wire is too thick!

  • BTW... you are super popular... everyone just loves you! :)

  • aww! you're sweet!

  • Did you see the LOOM KNITTING MACHINE... it was 45 dollars.. problem with it I seen... they say you can piece together blankets... PLEASE WHATEVER... but then it takes bulky wool and makes it look thin... so I want something for our hands that can maintain the bulky look but speed up ourselves manually!

  • love ur vids..i hope u find an inventor dat can help u..got my fingers crossed :)

  • good idea
