Keep adding compost and water to your Goji plants, and they will give you Goji Berries all summer long. I have about 8 pounds dried, and plenty of fresh to eat till it freezes.
Grow your own. Start them early using a heat mat and a 400 watt light. Mine are 8 feet tall after two years. I have tons of fresh Goji. You don't need to do this during growing season. Just eat them fresh, dry whats left for winter. I have to say, when I eat a couple handfuls a day, I just feel really good. Like a cleansing type reaction.
@magprob can u pm my page brother, im curious about growing theese things. i would appriciate it tremendously, i dont really want to go the clone route. thx.
I just made some Goji berry juice by placing some on the berries in a blender with water and a little natural sweetner. blend it for as long as you can ha. Use a nut milk bag and drain out all of the juices and enjoy, After watching this video I wanted some goji juice now. Peace
Goji berries are chinese herb to help maintain good eye sight, if you buy them from a chinese herbal store, they are priced at different prices per lb. Don't get the ones that are too red in color, they can be color dye in. You don't need to soak some many berries at once, it is a waste. Put them in a soup boiled for 15 minutes and drink them. It is better to first lightly rinse the berries before putting it in the soup, or straining it in hot water. Enjoy it!
I wonder if this would work better using spirits to make a tincure. I suspect you probably are not getting close to 100% nutrient extraction just using water. David
@vidlover07 thx, im to north at the moment, ive heard thell surive even in canada but also that below 5 farenheit they dont survive, yours will probally due fine.
i have about 10 goji bushes, i had 16 but 6 of them died because they were smaller than the rest of which i had started earlier, they are about 2 years old now =).
I love goji berries, but I hope you aren't just throwing away those berries after you soak them. They are still full of lots of good things for you. I blend them into my smoothies. Also, here is a minor point for you if you want to be an expert. (I'm a pharmacist specializing in herbal food and medicine.) What you have made is not goji juice. It's a cold water goji infusion. Or Fructus lycii infusion. If you want to be considered an expert, learn the proper terminology please.
@pharmanome Juice i imagine would actually be the liquid extracted from a FRESH berry...
but eitherway still good. I bet it would be delicious as a smoothie with some kind of healthy cream/milk substance, ice cream and maybe some orange juice xD Or better yet....Goji popsicles dipped in dark chocolate!
I will just put some in my water and let sit for 15mins and you will see the water start to change color. They are delicious and the energy I get makes coffee a thing of the past.
i actually grow goji berries at my house. Along with an Acai palm and Maqui tree soon to bear some berries. i can't wait to pick them and throw them all into a blender and consume. Now that is probably going to be the most nutritious and most antioxidant packed smoothie on the planet! lol...IMO :-)
I bought some goji berries and they taste very bitter. Do you think I would have to rinse them first in water than eat them? Im confused why it tastes so bitter almost like dirt. I paid $13 for 9oz.
Beyonce? ew. Her music is catchy for dancing, but I dislike her public persona. Shes FAR from vegetarian, wears fur, and now shes promoting hamburger helper to *feed* the starving....not very good food. Oh well.
I'm signed up for the email and look forward to it everyday :) Angela is this generation 's Ann Wigmore and I look so forward to all of the Raw Food World TV show ! it is such a great support for this Raw Foodist in Minnesota !

Today I used my leftover Gojis for an ice cream. Here's the recipe:
2 ripe bananas
!/4 cup of leftover Gojis
1/4 cup raw almond butter
some vanilla
Just blend and put it in an ice cream maker for about 15/20 min. Serves 2. I think it would also go well with cashew butter.
