I honour and respect all the pioneers of Humanistic/Existential Psychology (Fromm, Jung, Maslow, etc.). Each & every one of them brought gems of expanded understanding to the multi-faceted table of human development. But each of them only had part of the whole story - which is still unfolding! Wilber & Integral psychology are now the cutting edge.

However, I would just like to add that not all New Age thought is "magical thinking"; nor all expressions of spirituality "religious". This would be to make a very common "modern" mistake of confusing pre-rational "magical thinking" with valuable post-rational perspectives, and also pre-rational religion with post-rational spirituality. Totally agree with your point on ADD though. Namaste.

Loporto's work is excellent and valuable despite the "new Agey" tinge that runs through it. This explains so much! I can't stop re-watching this. The scene where the girl slowly puts the flower into the barrel of a gun moves me deeply! I just purchased the book and started reading it and so far everything in it resonates with me (except for some of the famous "wayseers" listed). I think my creativity & independant thinking were crushed when at age 13 I joined a religion that pretended to be spiritually satisfying but really was mental enslavement. It preached love but was very unloving. When I finally left that religion after 26 yrs, I felt so uplifted that I could love others freely, without the false teaching that they were "part of the world alienated from God" getting in the way. The visuals in the video depict the proper way to act on impulses. The destructive actions (overturning desks) are not dangerous, they are liberating. The upbuilding actions (inventing, leading people in demonstrations to end war) are essential to curing humanity.
