I believe there are unjustices in law enforcement however this video is a typical "hit piece" 1. We never see (on purpose) why these people are being arrested. Perhaps the arrest is wrong, but we are never given the info to make that decision. 2. I could just see one of the hungry people getting sick from this food then coming back and suing the city for it, if you want to feed the homeless there are plenty of better ways to do it than this. Be vigilant of the gov't, but also be fair.
@Allex85 Except for that fact that one of the people fed could get sick or worse then bring civil and criminal charges against the city and these do-gooders. You want to feed the hungry that is noble, so go volunteer at a local food kitchen or shelter, this was purposely done to provoke the police and make them look bad.
they should'nt be feeding homeless people in a public park it only makes all the homless gather there, and the people that want to enjoy the park cant. If they wanna feed the homeless they should do it out of their church or a private building. Good job police officers.

All news reports are biased. He who initiates force is automatically wrong, no further discussion is necessary about who is right and who is wrong. If the police look like Gestapo Enforcers it's because that's how they've acted every time they come out and arrested non-violent people for sharing food. Someone responded that there are only 2 permits issued to that group per year, If it's true, that can't work. I've had experience dealing with City and County government, and government really is responsive to the citizens. I hope you can get it properly resolved. I live in Arizona, and I once got them to change motor vehicle code in Nebraska - and Arizona citizens have no say about Nebraska laws. Laws can be changed. But the poor cop has to enforce the law, especially when he's on camera. Privately, he might use his best judgement about enforcement, but not on camera with a highly charged issue. It has to be done at a higher level. Stay with it. The law can be changed as long as official concerns at satisfied. Lawmaker work for the citizens.
