Sorry to burst your bubble, but that's malt. You can't buy beer in gas stations in Iceland. All alcohol is sold through specially licensed alcohol stores.
Iceland is an incredibly active seismic area. They are spilt between the North America and Eurasian plates via the Mid-Atlantic Ridge. This means that they experience large amounts of vulcanism and earthquakes. This activity also causes Iceland to have some of the most distinctive geography on the planet.
unless ur in my childhood bedroom. my room i swear was right over a fault line. (also knowable cause of the dang rocks that keep showing up in my backyard) i felt them every night. :) that's why im a fan of earthquakes.
@Desolatekitten lol yea? do u know what fault? oh and rofl my 9th grade english class. it felt like the floor was made of cardboard. u could feel people walking around in the next door class, well. i thought it was people...but now im having second thoughts lol
@jrpg909 Chino! im in Long Beach and a 5.4 earthquake was centered in Chino! wooaaahhhh. that was a scary quake. did u ever hear about it? 5.4 on July 29 2008. its all over youtube.
@TheBassguy1 LOL so lucky...I'm chilean, and we had an 8.5 earthquake in my city. THAT IS SCARY MAN! It was in all the news over the world. It's calles the march 27 2010 chilean earthquake...
@panxosolis it was an 8.8! Damn, how was it?! lol
i know i favorited a video of that earthquake. it was security cam footage from in a casino. Shit that quake did damage here in Cali. The tsunami rose the water so high and flooded PCH (Pacific Coast Highway) and like another block inland. We got the tsunami worse than Hawaii. but yea here in California were waiting for the "Big One" to hit. thats supposed to be from a 7.8 to an 8.9

Im from california... let me tell earthquakes is the scariest shit.. like what other natural disaster can you compare to where you don't know if you're going to survive.. I mean one becomes extremely paranoid.. Trust me can't even shower without having it in the back of my mind
@K3vinDS yes they are and a huge one comes our way amby a 7.1 maby people have just sayed after todays earthquake a next one is comeing at 3 days im scared but theres nothing i can do, i wont leave my house just for some earthquake it probably wont even last long but if yes then i hope me and famil memebers survive. but i hope there rong about it.
@aaron93m They keep saying that the big one is coming. Hell, they said that back in the 70's when I went to school. I find it strange when a large one hits, the so called experts say that wasn't the big one
@aaron93m I agree, But it was written in a magazine years ago that if you keep an eye out for birds and look in the newspapers for lost pet lists that seem to jump overnight and watch the tides and how they react. It's really neat. If I remeber the name of the magazine, i will let you know
No you don't. I live in Denver, and though quakes are rare, we have them. I also was in LA during the MLK quake back in '93, (I had just arrived and left LAX and was driving). They are scary, can wake you up in the middle of the night, take your home, and worse yet, kill you. Here in Denver, we have tornados and I would take those over a quake any day of the week. At least tornados can be predict. One cannot predict a quake
I felt both of them, one earlier today. I hate earthquakes! I always run, even though they say not to, I don't know why I just cant sit there and ride it out. They scare the hell outta me!
there was a little one to day i was at home alone when the 4.o hit i went under my desck and rode it out it feels fake tho like idk how to esplain ya know?
I was just opening the fridge when it started shaking, first I thought the fridge was broken but then everything started shaking even more and my friend who was watching tv screamed and then I realised what was going on, so I tried to run to her but it was hard and I just panicked
I was just laying in the bed and heard litle shaking then it starting getting kind big and the table has kinda shelf on it but they aren't stuck together so top half came off and there's a book case in the hallway (just next to my room), alot of books fell down and always been forgotten to bolt it or something to the wall, was kinda shaking myself since never been in this big, then looked slowly up,cause there is a ceiling fan above (when sit at computer) so kinda "stay..."
Also, across the book shelf thing is a guest room/hobby room kinda so lucky that people go there litle (and i was only at home anyway) cause that + all the books would've been in the way, wasn't much that damaged or broke (luckily most of the kitchen shelf door thing didn't open, so plates and glasses where fine, refrigirator opened a litle though) though few very tiny cracks (nothing big, just mainly kinda thin lines)
