  • Este es el estudio nº 2. De todas formas, lindo sonido.

    Saludos desde Chile.

  • Try varying your fingers.

Instead of using P, I fingers.

Try using 3 fingers and eventually one finger for each string.

  • I mentioned in the video description that I used to play correctly just as you described, but between playing too much and my job, I began developing problems and my fingers started curling under and not working. Now that I am no longer working there, I am slowly regaining some dexterity. But for the longest time I played charango, which uses a lot of P-I anyway. I have a recent video where I play some Carulli on ukulele playing P-I-M-A and it worked long enough to do the video and got numb...

  • Oh okay.

Hope you get well soon my friend :)!

    Relax Budddy ;)

  • once again, bud your right hand is awesome. it's the unconventional chico picking, and that sir is quite a thing of beauty, or like django in the sense of less conventional = unique technique

  • @kingcollie wow, thank you very much!

  • Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it!

  • Lovely sound. Your right hand technique may be unconventional but it works fine!

  • It used to be conventional but between my old job and too much playing I simply lost it. I guess it was an undiagnosed overuse injury, so I just figured out another way. And as it turns out, charango, the instrument I did between guitar and ukulele, actually works better with the unconventional technique.

But since changing employment, I have noticed some of the lost movement coming back, so who knows? Perhaps the "right" way will come back with time.

  • Beautiful!

  • Thanks, chessdude!

  • Lovely! Great sounding guitar too!

  • Thanks! It's just an entry level Yamaha flamenco guitar, but it does have a very sweet tone, I love it.

  • hehe, I touched my guitar last week after 25 years also. I'm feeling with you. The camera too close or the uke too big ;-) but it still works to some extent.

  • Uke too big! jajaja

  • Beautiful. You've still got it!

  • Thanks!
