  • awsome boots hahahahahaha

  • Great playing! I'm gonna borrow this to learn from when I start on Mr. Emmanuel's stuff!

  • nice job mate!

  • please upload the tabs

  • is that a maton guitar?

  • dude wot size are ur feet.

  • nice feel!!!!

  • Amazing video, but I have to point one thing out. It's so funny. Being from America, the connotation that the latest fashion trends have given Ugg boots makes it absolutely hilarious to see a grown man wearing Uggs. Needless to say, your guitar playing is phenomenal.

  • Love the boots!

I just learned that it came from Australia and men originally wore them :)

  • Yeah I'm not sure what the fuss is about with ugg boots, I've had that pair for 15 years...they are just big warm comfy boots, when did they become a fashion accessory?! :)

    JAW

  • @jawmunji

here in holland ur a big disgrace if u where them, no one wants to walk with womens shoes here so well never find out how comfortable they are lol

  • Hey, I dig the boots. And all along I thought it was "branding."

  • man ugz?

But u r actually awsome at this song , well done :)

  • tab? :o

  • I have seen most of your clips and think you're an amazing player, great style, the only thing i can really pick on is those damn boots!

You can't wear those! ...and my wife and daughter have the same pair.

  • Thanks! I promise I won't wear them again ;)

    JAW

  • Love the setting....and I love Tommy Emmnanuel. So you got it made in the shade....

  • Awesome Job, a lot of hard work no doubt... I could never quite get the walking bass thing... keep up the good work! Blessings

  • good job....it´s sounds great!

  • listen carefully...especially the bass... it's out of tune

  • stop being a faggot you jealous bastard

  • wow

  • i like your ugz

  • Bravo !!! Et très bien le look ^^

  • does he play with thumbpick or just a thumb?

  • I can do either - in that video I would have been using a thumbpick, but these days I go au naturelle ~~~~JAW

  • VERY SWEET !!!!

I did not find the tab for Blue Moon on your posting site. Do you have the tab for it?

    Great rendition, Thanks!!!

    michael berk

  • your very good but the bass was not you right?

  • very good :)

  • can you send me that TAB of blue moon?

  • try the drum beat

  • Or no, I'll just go get the ptb with google. :)

  • heh, yeah, I used someone elses tab for this one :)

  • I think this is your best recording of a tommy song that I've heard, its awesome ,I'm definitely downloading your tabs for this.

  • I was reading what you were sayng about thumb independency (which I already know about but, thats beside the point) and I was just thinking that I was lucky to have learned freight train by tab before I knew about it because I could do it when I was done.

It sure helped alot on learning day tripper/lady madonna, though truth be known I'm not quite done learning the whole thing.

  • what is the name of the song of the real band?

  • This song seems impossible to me,great job!!

How many years has it taken you to get to this level of playing?

  • Once you have achieved "thumb independence" it will seem reasonably easy. I've been playing for a long, long time.

Note: thumb independence = ability to play something with the thumb seemingly independent to what the fingers are doing. It's a bit unnatural at first and requires a bit of practise, but there is nothing sinister to it. Simply play the notes really slowly and force your fingers to do as they are told! You are already your way being able to play freight train.

  • wow! thats pretty hawt thougth?<3

  • nice boots!

  • bravo!!!sir!!!jaw!!!he he nice work!!what type of guitar that?

  • "It's obvious you love to play."

    Dumb comment. lol.

Can't get as good as you ARE unless you love to play. LOL

I like watching your left foot too. Half way thru you bring it closer.

It's easier to keep the rhythm but when more concentration's needed you still stopped tapping. I dig watching body language too. :)

  • When I saw the Uggs, I thought A, U.

What JDC57 said sounds good even tho I know nothing about music; I only what I like ... and I liked that.

You put some nice individual variation into it too. It's obvious you love to play.

  • Well done - you've got a nice flow and the bass line stands out well. Work on playing the melody with greater emphasis and clarity. Slow it down a little if need be. Too many people trying to sound just like Tommy. This is a sad love song, after all. Better to play slower with greater precision than faster and sloppily. Check out Ed Gerhard's work and see how skillfully he brings out a melody. Keep up the fine pickin'!

  • Yes you are correct ..I think there in to much emphasis on the palm slap ..Its just done to hard on all these versions of this song..

  • nice uggs

    haha

    great guitaring i love tommy

  • well done :)

    look my version :)
