yeah seriously. SPARTANS are Genetically altered cyborgs.... ODST arent so it would be incredibly frustrating if you had to fight more than one scarab at a time. HTe Scarabs on the Covenant are frustrating enough as the cheif. Besides the only reason the Scarabs in ODST are easy are because the first one you fight you have a banshee and the second one just shoots you once and moves along.

Halo 3 ODST=not worth it. the campaign is too short and too easy. endings very cheesy. firefight is ok. but the only reason i actually bought it was for the complete multiplayer disc. but odst itself, it just sucks. i finished the campaign a little over four hours with my little brother on legendary. its just too easy. it should have been something around 40 bucks or less. and recon is just digital armor. for your charecter and nowadays its not special because bungie made it open to the public

first off the only simularity to halo 3 is the second disc that comes with odst that is just the multiplayer verson of the game in odst you dont have energy shielding u cant duel wield and u cant jump as high and it takes a lot more hits to kill a brute. they brought back the ability to ride on the scorpion like u could in halo 1 and the brute plasma rifle of halo 2 the so there is nothing simular to halo 3 except maybe the game play but what else to u expect from a halo game.

The only way this game is worth while by a price standpoint is if you buy the limited edition and have never bought the halo maps. The limited editions comes with a controller ( 50 bucks) the maps (30 bucks) and the game all for 100 bucks. Also buy it if your a recon whore. The game is WAY!!!!!! too short to pay 60 bucks for 4 hours of game play

Yes. Firefight on Heroic with a few skulls on is a blast! Dunno about the story though. It might be a little confusing :l But it does have Halo 3's whole multiplayer portion with new maps so that's cool.

And thinking realisticly and believeably (like many developers do when making fiction such as Halo's), it would take quite the technological feat for a lightweight silencer for such a big round, but then again, the UNSC pulled off making a rifle with such massive rounds and eliminating the enormous recoil such size rounds causes when fired.

But in the end, it's a video game. Of course they can make it.

ODST was originally an expansion for a 2007 game(Halo 3), so it is expected that, by using the same engine, it would look just as old. Though they did tweak it a bit.

For Reach they are creating an engine that they say is supposed to be completely awesome, and better than the rest.. or something like that.

Personally I see nothing wrong with the H3/ODST graphics, they look as good as most games right now... though I assume Reach will up that bar for me.

The new pistol is actually Halo 2's Pistol with an upgrade that is it's suppressor and scope.

Whilst it lacks the sheer damage of Halo 1's legendary sidearm, you can fire this one as fast as you can hit the fire button, which makes multiple headshots faster than a hollywood assassin possible.

Whilst it's a shame the Battle Rifle had to be cut from ODST, the pistol is more than enough to replace it's empty space.

To be honest, I'm very surprised the UNSC could manage to slience a 50. Mag Pistol, let alone a rifle that fires rounds of 9.5mm (more than 2mm bigger than a 50.cal Machinegun round) without making it less compact or lightweight.

But I think the Pistol took it's place well. Whilst it doesn't take out shields well, it's highly efficient and is easy to make instantaneous multiple headshots.

halo ODST was a big let-down. the campaign was extremely boring and repetitive. walking around new mombasa trying to get to each beacon is like one of the most boring things you can do in a video game. and the fact that there is no matchmaking feature in firefight practically makes the mode USELESS.
