Why did you do a cirgury on the dog to have her puppies??

Because she had 11 puppies in her and one huge one blocking the birth canal, she would have died without it, same reason they do c-sections on human women! I have seen some people who would watch a bitch in distocia waiting for her to have the pups natural for 2 days until she finally died, my dogs aren't treated that way!!!

Why did the procedure take so long?

The surgery took as long as it needed to like any surgery, something we don't rush through! I sure wouldn't want a "drive-through" surgery done on myself. There were 11 puppies, it actually didn't take that long but I dont't remember the exact time, but the initial answer-it took as long as it needed to was accurate. This video was made with Roxio movie producer so it's slowed down in places and sped up in other places.
