  • the HPI has way higher RPM... 42k on 2s vs the rustlers' 38... the speed traxxas says, is WAY overgeared... gear the new HPI Firestorm Flux with 4800kv motor on 3s like the rustler is geared for 60mph... the firestorm will with this gearing go 70mph+.... hpi's 50mph is with stock gearing, not 28/76 like traxxas

  • traxxas sucks

    hpi RULES

  • @MrTiti989

  • i know this is a stupid question but i just created a you tube account and i was wondering how i get people to know about. if you could tell me that would be great. thanks.

  • wjich one not going to mod it just going to put a 2s lipo in it? please help

  • i can get traxxas rustler vxl for ony $315

  • $2000 of upgrades and you essentially said there equal... wince

  • i know the rear a-arms are curved inward to help with handling

  • Out of the box, the Rustler is for bashing the HPI can race.

  • @TheAegisClaw what makes the FS a racer out of the box and not the rusty?

  • @fordfan25 The whole setup is aimed at handling and speed on 2S. Standard 2.2" wheels and tyres, where there's loads of options.

  • @TheAegisClaw thats all? the rusty VXL runs great on 2cell as well. i keep hearing how the FS handles better but in all the vids iv seen it seems to handle just like a rusty. from what i can tell other than the motor esc there is not much def between the two performnce wise. and both have great esc and motor combos. .2 .2 rims are better for tire choices but you can get great 2.8 size tires as well. i have some dirt hawgs on the way right now in 2.8 besides rims r cheap ;)

  • @fordfan25 Racing rules dictate 2s and the Rustler is much slower on 2s, and tyres are the most important part of tuning your truck to a given track. There's many times more 2.2" tyres available. You cant tel how something handles from a video, you need to try it for yourself.

  • @fordfan25 The handling is nite and day difference. I had a vxl rustler and could not keep it steady on the track, so when I had a FS, it handled soooo well!!!

  • what fdr or rollout are u runnning dude, those gear ratios dont make any sense

  • @kingadude no idea man i havnt calculated it, all i can tell u is that they are both 48pitch and that the firestorm is stock gearing and the rustler is the high speed gearing.

  • @gabster118 what is the best 2s lipo to use in the firestrom?

  • hey great video! i was wondering whats the bigest wheel/tire i can put on my hpi firestorm stock?

    thanks

  • @Atvman250cc thanks! I know that standard off road rims r 2.2' and road tyres or larger types are 2.8' those are generally the biggest. You can get 17mm hex adapters to fit buggy tyres and monster truck tyres but remember if you go to big it will put immense strain on the motor and you will overheat it very easily.

  • hey gabster, E.firestorm or Rustler VXL,

which car would you choose if you had to choose a new car?

  • @jyskrc id stick with the rustler...way faster!

  • so witch is better?

  • @MCgangsta11 speed= rustler durability= HPI

  • i think you need to adjust your rustler front camber, but nice video!!

  • @xXShadowRejectsXx Thanks!, Too angled??

  • @gabster118 aghh sorta, too much negative camber! it will wear out only one side of the tire D:!!

  • @xXShadowRejectsXx ahhh ok ill change that! thanks! :D

  • @gabster118 haha NP man!! just makin sure you know! hehe

  • I live in new York and it costs around $270-$320 here

  • rustlers not 450 dollars what crack u been smokin?

  • @Tigerbarb202 I live in aus, it was $500 here 3 months ago wen i got it but i got it for $450 including post, And its VXL with 2.4ghz version so dont come here telling me im the one smoking crack wen uve got nothing to back it up.

  • @gabster118 just go look it up stupid. Ive got google to back it up. And the 2.4 ghz system is only like 40 bucks.

  • @Tigerbarb202 God Piss off i got it over 3 months ago, I dont care that its cheaper now. Same as savage i got it for $700 wen it cost $800 now it costs less than $600

  • HAHA i have upgraded my rustler vxl beyond thinking too and nothing in my car is stock either... I am running a 11.1v 5400mAh 3s lipo, with foam prism onroad racing tires, a full car alluminum conversion kit, max speed gearing and my car is like 1/2 and inch or less off of the ground..... it hits 85+ mph and 0-60 in like around 1 sec.! I Love the Rustler its amazing just not very reliable with stock pieces!! Thanks for the Video

  • @xXChick3nPok3rXx that sounds sweet! i have no idea how fast my car can go but ive hit over 135Kmh, acceleration isnt that great on min as i keep on popping wheelies! or flipping. But ive more gone with all the carbon fibre parts i can get my hands on!

  • @gabster118 Dude get some jaco foam racing tires they are the best onroad racing tires ever i have them on my rustler...

  • lol fail at the end when u were tell people to sub and u pointed and nothing came up

  • @SuperSnoozie i havnt put up the links yet

  • i have a probleme with my rustler VXL when i start running it it run full speed for 30 sec half speed for 10 sec and after esc start blinking red...?

  • @jason1786 Thas Lipo cutoff mode. U need to charge ur batteries or check the esc and batteries

  • @gabster118 i dont use lipo battery? so what i can do now?

  • @jason1786 when you connect your battery is the ESC light green? because that mean you are running a NIMH battery on lipo mode. You need to read the manual and setup ur ESC the correct way.

  • @jason1786 its supposed to blink red?

  • nice!

  • im not getting any audio?! is it there or is my pc messed lol

  • @RCRacing88 There is audio, ur PC is messed :P
