That's not true, many bands had reached a certain range of audience by that time, bad religion for example, and many others grew at the same time. They were nothing special, and even the other bands that were growing with them and of course bad religion talked abou more interesting things (and thought provoking) than "how pathetic their lives were" - and how they did nothing to change it by the way
