  • your lisp is rediculously annoying!

  • I've tried Final Cut a couple of times... but it never turns out the way I want.. I will just stick to my Sony Vegas 10 :)

But it's fun to watch Final Cut videos sometimes, I think the program is hard to understand... SV10 is much easier. But I'm slowly learning the program I guess... :)

  • @VulnerableWinter final cut isnt hard to understand in my opinion.. but it is MASSIVELY overrated! i used premier pro.. infact every editing and post prod program i use is adobe because its AWESOME!

  • thanks, this helped!

  • kool... but i already know those need something a lil deeper

  • how do you fade to white?

  • I am trying to figure out how to fade in chroma keyed video on top of another VIDEO! All the tutorials show chroma keyed videos on top of a PHOTO. That is easy. I do not want my chroma keyed video to POP up in a scene but fade into the scene. Using final cut express 4.0. Help. LupeAtgr8clicksDOTcom.

  • does this work for pc/windows?

  • @MultiHorrorman No, But you can get premiere pro for windows

  • that was crap thanks for nothing!

  • all these transitions are on imovie, i wanna se some transitions you cant get on imovie , anyone know any good ones?

  • Great vid thanks for the intro to effects!

  • How about transitions with Chromakeyed clips?

  • Do you know how to do the flash effect?

  • hey do you know how to move clips from final cut express to after effects?

  • Ideas: slow down when you're explaining things. I just got FCE. How about doing a start to finish tutorial? That is to say, import a short movie, make/add a transition for a beginning of the movie, a couple of transitions in the middle, an effect or two in the movie, and an ending with credits that roll or scroll. A simple 2 minute movie. I realize this would take a while to do a tutorial for, but I'm sure many would appreciate it. Thanks.

  • good tutorial!...can you show us how to put a color distortion on a clip which goes from a say...green tint to blue tint...back to green to blue and so on. Fading in and out every half second? Thanks i'll subsrcibe and hope you can help. thanks.

  • THE GREEN SCREEN! show us how to work with the green screen. and also with audio levels. (e.g. the sound from one camera is lower than in the other on; how to balance them?)

  • u sound like very young :p

  • too fast, doesn't help but nice try

  • i helped me..and im a first timer.

  • actually one of things i like the most is - your opinions or taste comments - "this looks to power point" stuff like that is helpfull as im just getting into this ... its helpful to newer Express cut users - thanks for posting - i just got this - and i will be using it for future music videos -

  • this shit is useless

  • How do you make a scene slow motion?

  • kuanyin28, It's imposable to have two clips at the same opacity running together

  • Hey there,

Thanks for the explanation about video transitions. I learned a lot, but what I loved the most was your pleading for responses at the end of your clip. You sound like you're really authentic. I have a technical questions that I am hoping you can help me with. Once you render your clip and you want to revise, can you modify the existing rendering? I want to vary the volume of my audio, but have already rendered it. Do I need to fix the audio volume points before rendering?

  • Thinking of getting this program. Know you can work with two video lines, and impose a short clip's video footage the ongoing video, with the audio continuing unbroken...and without it going out of sync. Can one do a transition like a cross dissolve between the two clips in this case, rather than a straight cut? A straight cut would not alter the sync, I don't think, but a dissolve transition between the sep. clips might throw off audio/video sync. ??

  • thanks. how come you didn't have to render for some of them?

  • i think it's 'cause his hard drive has a lot of space or "breathing room" to work with.

  • Can you go a little further into working with transitions? I can add the cross dissolve but I don't know how to change duration. Thanks.

  • Really cool ;) as you're asking for ideas, I got one... I'm new to FCE, and there is a basic thing I just can't manage to do: a fade in (using only 1 video clip, starts black and fades in). Thanks!

  • Great tutorial very straight to the point. I have a request how do you combine two different clips to make it one clip and the different backgrounds looking like one

  • Thanks for the tips. How do you control the fades? I want to start a slow fade and have it go pitch black at a certain part of the clip that i don't want to be seen.

  • ok ill subscribe

  • very helpful thank you!

  • Hi there Teckstuff, greetings from downunder! thank you so much for your generosity in sharing your knowledge about FCE on utube, you helped a couple of old imovie devotees shift up a few gears to hit the ground running with this new software. You are an amazing kid! keep up the good work...and of course the tutorials. Best regards,

  • Hey, nice show. IS THERE ANY WAY TO GET AROUND NOT HAVING BATCH CAPTURE in FCE? WHat about plug ins? How to install em and which kind?

    HELP!

  • Hey. When I add and edit clips other clips move around in the timeline. Its really annoying. I know ur supposed to use Superimpose but I get error messages most of the time and have to drop the clip directly.

Is there any way to lock down the clips that are already there. WIthout constantly adding new tracks. Thx.

  • If you hit "k" on the keyboard it snaps them together. I'm not sure why that happening though.

  • thx :)

  • Sure!

  • Okay TeckStuf, I got another one for ya. Do you have any tutorials on editing audio ? Real simple stuff like editing audio clips into smaller clips or like lets say I have audio and I only recorded on one channel how can I fix it to make it stereo....things like that?

  • I'll make some today! They should be up later tonight. I'll show you the mono to stereo. As for other basic audio editing, do you want me to use the easy "sent to garageband" feature or show you some editing right in final cut express? Thanks!

  • right in fianl cut express please...

  • I guess Mp4 have to be rendered while some other types of audio like.aiff do not....interesting.....

  • Yeah, its weird like that. LOL

  • you are the man !!

  • Thanks!

  • Hey Man,

I like what your doing !!! When I hit play in the canvas I sometimes hear beeping....whats up with that?

  • Thanks! The beeping means that the audio needs to be rendered. Just click anywhere in the timeline (not on a clip) and hit apple (command) and R. That will render the audio for you.
