Marty and Jacob aren't the same. They're different characters played by the same dude, Andrew. While Marty is homebound, endearing in an awkward way, and innocent; Jacob is more like a squirrel. He's eager, dumb as pinecones, and only a few minutes away from shooting everyone in the office.
