I don't think the question should be how bad the bad guys are, but how good the good guys are. Perhaps since ff7 (obviously) had the best hero's, sephy could not do anything X D
imo kuja is the most badass villan ever, in a bad guy he has everything, sephiroth is also leet but i feel he lacks the intelligence that makes kuja so dangerous. both are awesome but kuja is a 10/10 for me

I agree even though IX was the first FF I played, when I played VI the scene from IX reminded me of Kefka. People hype up Seph way to much, but that's because most people who had a PS1 were introduced to FF7 and FF8's main boss wasn't as good and no one really knew about the previous ones so everyone went on think Seph was the greatest enemy since Satan himself

Sephiroth wanted to find the Promised Land (ie the land of the Cetras) but he could not find it, he assumed it was on another planet, and he wanted to use the planet as a vessel to travel the cosmos to find the Promised Land. However in doing so would defacate Gaia.
Not as pitiful as Sephiroth. Who at best killed everyone in Shin-Ra building and failed to destroy the Planet. Kuja did bring Eternal Darkness(Necron)out.
well sleeping..mm you could say that but it was more like the Planet needed to consume other planets to stay 'alive'. Though it wasn't alive on its own, or it would have been a normal planet. This planet was 'inside' the consumed planet, and people (or gnomes) like kuja and zidane, were send to the consumed planet to kill everything and everyone so that the inside planet could feed on the consumed planet's life. confusing..i know =)

No it isn't. Every saingle attack in Final Fantasy shows the power of the character/enemy. Just the damage/stats are of no importance.
JENOVA is a galaxy destroyer. So is Sephiroth. So he CAN unleash a Super Nova like Kuja can use his Ultima to destroy a planet.
