  • I dont want to touch my 2.7lit with now 76k on it. its in to good of a factory condition haha. thats why i want to get another!!!

  • Oh by the way just ordered a Clutch Kit fot it.Stage 3

  • Gotta do it barefoot! Man you're making me miss mine.

  • @944obscene every 944 turbo video seemed to be shot barefoot, so I kicked off my shoes and recorded it.

  • that's a nice 944 bro

  • exhaust?

  • @koolkid368 Lindsey Racing 3 inch exhaust - no cat, magnaflow muffler, linsdey rolled exhaust tip

  • @MarkaRoxx No cat? I thought cats were mandatory in USA?

  • @omfgwtfbbq90 No cat - I have no worries about inspectons. I have a couple friends who own shops who hook me up. I don't have a cat either on my 3 inch exchaust on my 98 boxster.

  • God I fucking love this car. Why the hell are there none for sale in my country? :\

  • Nice! Try to get that intake re routed to the cold air side. Makes a big difference. I noticed it on mine.

  • @toddk911 You're exactly right. The hot air comming off the engine is no good. I read an article regarding the heat problem with the air flow meter in that location. The article said that over 35mph there was no difference in air temp compaired to the original factory airbox. One could route the standard AFM to the driver's side but it is much more beneficial to install a MAF. Lindsey Racing has a fantastic Mass Air Flow.

  • @MarkaRoxx Yes! As soon as you can get that old barn door AFM out and get a MAF the better and route for cooler as well. I run, and many are starting to follow suit, the Ford Lightning 90mm MAF. Also an 85mm for lesser modded cars. Search on them and you will see they are much more affordable than the other vendors of 951 "specific" MAF's.

    Good luck! Car looks great.

  • @toddk911 I sold this 951 a few months ago. I was on the hunt for an older 911 turbo for a while and decided on a low mileage 98 boxster. I really miss the raw power and aggressive nature of the 944 turbo.

I never heard of the lightning MAF conversion before, how difficult is it? The advantage of buying a MAF from Lindsey Racing is that it's a Plug-N-Play modification.

  • beautiful car dude

  • great car

  • very very nice porsche man....i had a 1988 944 turbo s in silver rose ....looked like this but mine looked like someone sent it through torment and back lol the inside sucked and the paint was faded

  • @CountryBoyDak 88 944 TURBO S! I love silver rose!!!!!

  • @MarkaRoxx very nice car if i would have had time to restore it but i had to get rid of it

  • I was about to dislike until you pop the bonnet

  • Thats very nice!!

  • Yur looks nice and clean compared to some others ive seen

  • I want one of these so badly

  • how much are they

  • @brandonman052 Alot of rich porsche guys call it the poor mans porsche but its a pretty cheap car not like honda cheap but pretty fair price i'm trying to get one myself.

  • @westsidetrumpet 944 Turbos will eat almost anything on a track. With a reasonable investment into upgrades, one could easily make 340hp-370tq. Exhaust, bigger turbo, chips, injectors, mass air flow, fuel pressure regulator, and a boost controller. This entire package is at lindseyracing for about 4k. Enough to slaughter almost any new Porsche.

  • @MarkaRoxx Hell yeah the onlything stopping from getting a 944 though is parts and maintenance is usually ridiculous So i've juggling between getting a 944 or 2002 wrx

  • @westsidetrumpet Depends on your bankroll. If your going to buy a 944 turbo you need to buy a solid one.

  • @MarkaRoxx Definitely I'm pretty broke but Porsche and Subaru have been my favorite car since i could say car but if i have a question or 2 about one ill drop you a message or something :D

  • @westsidetrumpet I dont know anything about subarus. If you ahve a question about 944s, 951s, or Boxsters... Im more than willing to help! : )

  • dang, that thing is hella clean. i good friend of mine has a 86 944 non turbo. still a dandy car. that is amazing

  • wow! I'd like to see it drive....hopefully you fixed the 944 taildive suspension issue I always hated that.

  • @bloodswetandgears suspension was oem and in great shape. i sold her on thursday morning - i miss it very much!

  • timing should be changed every 3 years, right?

  • @FourSidedPiston I like a good gamble.

  • @MarkaRoxx So do I. 87 944S... 130k+ miles and still not looked at the cam tensioner.

  • @MangoSmoothie16 hahhaa too funny! timing belt was done about 24k miles ago. : )

  • @MangoSmoothie16 Me too.. had to get a used cylinder head, $1,500 or so (loaded)... new valves $90/ea (intake) $60/ea (exhaust)... new cam chain tensioner $450.. and labor was around $1700 or so...

Cost of me not changing the tensioner pads ($25 top, $115 bottom)... almost $4 grand =(

When the car starts idling like tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick.... its a good indication that your chain tensioner may fail and take out the whole top end.

  • @DThaeman they are amazing cars!

  • very nice

  • We love our Porsches... great color, wheels, engine and of course exhaust tone.

But why no balance belt whine? How long ago ( or recently ) was the timing and balance belts changed/tensioned?

I am a novice owner.. so Thanks! Vid shot in Germany? ( D licenseplate)

  • @23294virgo timing belt was done 4 years ago - video shot in upstate New York

  • nice

  • How much was the steering wheel?

  • wat type of rims r does?

  • @MikoNotChino ugly ones lol

  • @MikoNotChino worthless sounding beaner

  • Damn that engine is gorgeous. Love the chrome. I just bought my first Porsche 2 months ago, also a 86 944 Turbo. Great cars!

  • let me take it for a spin!

  • Schön ! :)
