  • They use to play this in the rollerskating rink

  • The first youtube poop ever

  • O man, I use to listen to this as a kid...I'm so glad someone finally uploaded this.

  • The audio isn't that bad really. I loved thise kinds of records.

  • I love hearing those old songs.

  • I bought this record when it first came out!!!

  • This would be a fitting tribute to the classic attraction at Universal Orlando since it closed down last week.

  • I owned this 45 and it sounds good to me.

  • great song, how come they never play this on the AM/FM oldies stations considering this song peaked in the Top 5

  • OMG I remember this. My brother and I played the rap out of this single back in the good ol' days.

  • Love this; was talking about this song this week and nobody could remember it. Gotta love You Tube!

  • I played this record sooooo much when I was little-Handed down from my older cousins/family-AWESOME

  • I remember listening to this on my little record player with the speaker in the lid. I thought this was lost to my memory forever! Thanks for posting this!

  • one of my first 45's

  • And I thought Weird Al was bad.

  • I hated these comedy records that used clips from stuff on Top 40 as answers to questions. It was 1st done in the early 60s as a parody of The Untouchables.

  • Ahhh,L.P.s G/D/ I feel old.

  • That really brought me back to my youth. I used to listen to Mr. Jaws until I darn near wore out the record.

  • 5 dumbies.

  • Your apology for the quality is not necessary, given the original source.

    Oh man...brings back memories...

My sibs and our friends thought this was so hilarious that we would make our own "interviews" on cassettes with our record collections.

  • haha this is awesome...gotta love it!!

  • Thanks for sharing, brought me back to age 13!!

  • I remember this from the radio in the 70's. It was so hilarious. Taking clips from songs and imbedding them into a comedy routine was clever and cool. I bought the 45 at Record Bar at Clearwater Mall. In the 70's this was NOT considered dumb. Everyone was NOT afraid to have a good time and do anything creative. Culture is different now, but I can't say it's for the better. The song hit #4 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, sold over 1m copies, and was awarded a gold disc in sept, 1975.

  • @greginfl Back in the day, people knew how to have fun and music was suppose to make you feel good. Too bad it's gotten away from that.

  • I remember this. It was silly but made us laugh.

  • God, sometimes we were really stupid in the 1970's.

  • @Lockbar Except when we were stoned!

  • Ahhhh! Just as I remember it. Gonna listen to Kung-Fu Fighting and The Streak after this. Woo!

  • OMG. Thanks for the memory lane trip. I used to go over to my friends house to listen to cassette and 45s. He got this and we couldn't listen to it enough. LOL.

  • Goodman's records don't make sense. One problem is that he stayed with a single theme.I used to make tapes that jumped around everywhere in the world. For example,I had a lawyer reading Karl Wallenda's will:"Since I Fell For You".

  • I have this from a novelty cd. Either done by K-Tel or Dr Demento

  • Bought this at Montgomery Wards in Colorado Spring when I was about 12. LOVED it!

  • I still got this 45! Good stuff!

  • Good, Dick

  • i always to find this novelty song. Thanks for posting it

  • this was our girltalk.

  • I remember...this was so AWESOME!!!

  • Why on Earth would 4 people dislike this bit? IDK. God bless! RIP, Dickie!

  • my mom showed me this. it was funny

  • @colesprouseissexy12 u showed it to me...hehe................do a little dance make a little love get down 2nnite

  • @DancingChica427 thar was funny. I couldnt stop laughing

  • I used to love all these Dickie Goodman songs. I too have this 45 somewhere.

  • Awesome! Another blast from the past. I never thought it was very funny but I remember listening to this and FAMOUS MONSTERS SPEAK Gabriel Gabe as a kid.

  • I haven't heard this in yeeeaaaarrrrrrss lol. I think I have the 45 home somewhere.

  • The thing that was cool about this record was it highlighted all of the number one songs from 1975!!!!!!

  • awesome. I loved Superfly meets Shaft and The Energy Crisis too!!!!

    it was cool

  • this song takes me back!!

  • @pookybear85 I was 11 when this came out.

  • I use to have this 45..purchased at WT Grants...Last true years of innocence. Fun times back than!

  • Me and my little friend would lip sync and laugh our asses off at this back in the day when we were like 7 or 8 yrs old. Thx for the share.

  • Wow, some things do not age well at all.

  • That's terrible!

  • I have this record too. I would like to fine the E T Version.

  • What great memories this brings back. Great work Losassaman!

  • I was 7 years old in 1976. I have not heard this since then! My God, all these ancient memories are now flooding me like crazy... KJRB AM Spokane! Thank you Losassaman!

  • I have this record too on youtube. I rember listening to it when it came out. It was like wow, a collection of all these songs on one record how did they do that !

This was decades before the internet remember & there was no way to have buy all the records so I thought it was cool when I was a teenager lol.

  • @r3dshif7 Agreed!

  • @r3dshif7 Your profile picture is nothing to be proud of.

This record is hella better than looking at your ugly clownface mug.

  • wow havent heard this in forever thnx

  • A classic!!! I remember listening to this on radio back in 76!!!!

  • brilliant !! lol

  • i first heard this on 45 its awesome i love it!!!!

  • In 3rd grade I thought this was the absolute greatest thing I had ever heard.

It's lost a little luster, but takes me back for sure.

Damn I love these here interwebz

  • Why can't we be friends?" Why can't we all just get along? someone should sue Rodney King for plagiarism.

  • I'm 20, I can already sing all the songs. Love this vid. Other side of record IS "Irv's theme"5 stars.

  • I remeber the flip side of this record was "Irv's Theme".

Anyone know what show or movies "Irv's Theme" was from?

  • this is great.

  • amen..

  • HAve not heard this in 30+ years and yet remembered every song before the line came up.

  • my mom told me too look this up..this is a great mix of cool 70 s songs that i know cuz my mom tought them to me

  • I still have this 45 I think lol

  • oy!

  • People laughed at this?

  • and people actually laugh at Opie and Anthony? :gag:

  • Now we know where Michael Bay got his idea for Bumblebee speaking in soundbites.

  • Dickie, the King of Cheese.

  • I have the LP...somewhere. With Energy Crisis and the old flying saucer recordings on it. Cool stuff.

  • I have that. :)

It's next to my Mad Magazine Record insert, "Super Spectacular Day" that plays a random ending every time you play it.

    The 70s...good times... :)

  • Thanks!

  • lol omg, talk about bringing back memories, me and my brother were maybe 8 and 9 when this came out lol, love it, ty for the post

  • I use to have this 45 when I was a kid and another one of his that I think was called "Star Warts".

  • I don't know the name of the 2nd one I remember - it may have been the Star Warts. But as I recall, it was more about E.T. - the only song I remember being sampled was Mellencamp's Hurts So Good when ET was asked about his glowing heart (or maybe finger?).

  • Star Warts as I recall was nearly identical to Mr. Jaws except the characters being interviewed were of course the Star Wars characters instead of the Jaws characters with their replies being snipits from various hits from 1977. I didn't have the one you mentioned about E.T.

  • Holy batman! I've totally forgotten this song! There's a 45' copy somewhere....

  • I love this!!!

  • Great to hear this again after 34 years! I bought it the year I started highschool and if memory serves, even "fresh out of the cover", the record quality wasn't that great (of course pops and spits weren't heard on records when they were brand new --for all you CD-raised people under 30!)

  • i have this 45 also

  • I listened to this and it reminded me of the "Muhammad Ali" song. They're quite different but they came out around the same time. Now I have to go find that one.

  • Man, this was one of the first 45's I bought when i was a child.

    thanks for the memories.............

I must have played it thousands of time as a child

  • WOW, looking at the actual 45 is bringing back as many memories as the song (for lack of a better word). Thanks!

  • My mom made me look this up at 11:42 pm.

    She's weird.

  • @brookerbearx3 That's interesting...Your mom was showing me the performance of the "quick copulation" at 11:43 pm.

  • I liked the ending.

  • Thank you so much for this! I so remember hearing this on the radio during my informative years. Excellent!

  • This was great! There was also one called 'Kong', but I'm not sure if it was also by Dickie. Very creative!

  • Woth watching. Thanks.

  • Oh hell yeah I rememer this one! hahaha You couldn't turn on the radio without hearing this one. You had to be around in the 70's to appreciate this, otherwise it just sounds stupid. Well...it was kinda stupid even back then but at least we "got it"...lol

    Peace Shariffe!

  • It was perfect for AM radio, and AM Top 40 radio stations were huge back then. Plus it was a short song and they liked that, because they could cram in more commercials. And this wouldn't work today on an FM rock station. Times change.

  • Man done forgot about this novelty.. 1975 wow .. Thanks Shariffe..peace ;-) nice samples too..

  • This junk is crazy! Something's wrong with you if you don't laugh even once to this song.

  • This "song" is a historical gem. Just because you have no grasp of subtle comedy doesn't give you the right to shit all over someone else's work and drag their name through the dirt. The man is dead, and is way more popular than you. Show some respect.

To the poster of this song, great work! I love Mr. Jaws. Reminds me of my childhood!

  • Have this one on 45, and still think it's funny. I can even remember hearing this on the Dr. Demento radio show back in the 70's when it first came out.

  • Wow! I forgot all about this!!! So many memories!!! Thanks for sharing and thanks for posting :-) Shariffe

  • God, AM 70's radio..the radio was always on in our room, through the night.I haven't heard this since my early years in Buffalo .

  • Thanks for posting this novelty gem! If I could go back in time to 1975, I would do it in a second. Many treasured memories of those days will stay with me forever.

  • lol

  • I used to have this 45. I was probably 11 or 12 years old. I am showing my age ha ha

  • Good Job...Brought back some fond memories.

  • I have this 45 as well. The first time I heard this was in elementary school back in 1975 when a classmate brought for "show and tell."

Our teacher played it for us a couple of times if my memory is correct, and we couldn't stop laughing! :)

  • i have this 45 also cool

  • Me too. I hadn't heard it since I was seven. listening to this took me back to a Friday in 1975 in Jamaica, Queens, hearing it on an AM radio station.

    Thanks for the post.

  • Thank you thank you thank you!!! I was trying to remember this song, and hadn't heard it since 3rd grade, I really appreciate you putting it out here! It's just as I remembered! LOL.

  • It was JAWSMANIA in the Summer of 1975, and Dickie Goodman cashed in bigtime with a Gold record top-5 hit novelty song, Mr Jaws. Only in the USA during the mid-70s, can someone sell one million singles of a song that is a parody of a blockbuster film.

  • Wow, you just gave me really vivid Disco Duck flashbacks, Vic.

  • The "Disco Duck" song was awesome, and I'll defend it to my death. But it was voted the worst song of the 70's on a radio station here a few years ago. (They put "Convoy" on that list too, and that's also one of my favorite songs). Off to find the Disco Duck single, if it's posted here.

  • I don't think that vote was just a local phenomenon, I seem to remember hearing something about it on my local radio station as well.

I predict the 70's culture making a huge comeback, hence the media is now in the process of tearing it down so that it can emerge as, "fashionably lame."

If they go after the Green Machine and poker chip red plastic momma-son chairs the way that they've slandered the music, though, I am definitely calling shenanigans.

  • Yeah, this song, Disco Duck, Convoy, also Earache My Eye comes to mind. All horrible songs that we all dug the hell out of just the same. I say that endearingly by the way.

  • The guitar work on Earache In My Eye is actually, technically, fantastic but I understand what you're saying: it does qualify for this genre of novelty 70's songs.

I stand by Jeff's proclamation that Convoy kicks some serious nostalgic ass, though.

  • That's a big 10-4 Good Buddy!....LOL

  • Fits right in with "They're coming to take me away ha ha" LOL

  • Thanks

  • OMG - I remember this vividly and no one I've ever asked does - thanks - I'm not crazy!

  • I totally remember this. Awesome. thanks for putting this on here. give us more!

  • I remember listening to this on a 45 many years ago. It's great to hear it again!

  • Wow...I had the faintest memory of hearing this as a kid on the radio. It's all flooding back. Awesome!

  • So many memories. Thanks for sharing.

  • Dickie Goodman was far ahead of his time. The original
