@DracoEduardo If you get two, make sure they are from the same litter and BOTH the same sex. Some pet stores make mistakes and give a boy and a girl and then you have babies. If you get two from different litters they will fight, even sometimes to the death.

i have teddy bear hamsters or Syrian w.e. i gave them a cage very similar to yours but mine bit a hole throu it and escaped. is there a certain type of plastic crate you used? maby bad out of something stronger than plastic?...yeh. stupid questions

@KidJUdgedByHIsPAst I used just a regular crate but I think dwarfs are so little, they don't chew that much.

the lighter colour is called sapphire winter white, while the others, included the mother is normal winter white. must have some sapphire bloodline (either from father or mother) to make him there =]

i have a question?? my hamsters just had babies and they are about 6 days old now and i dont know if your supposed to seprate them or keep the mom together? this is jmy first time having my hamsters have babies message me if you get this thanks(:

It's very important to keep mom with the babies until about 25-30 days old. They will open their eyes around 10-11 days and then when they are about 12-13 days you can start gently holding them a bit.

QUESTION!! how can you tell if the female is pregnant??

You can't tell until towards the end when she is more plump around the middle. She will also start to really clean a nesting area, wiping away any poop. She can be more aggressive towards the father and to you as well, sometimes hissing and screetching at your if you try to hold her.

Well, never, if you don't want any more babies. You can put the father with a male baby, maybe, but you'd have to be sure it's a male, otherwise you'll have MORE babies. You have to be careful with mixing sexes with hamsters, brothers and sisters, mothers and sons, fathers and daughters can all mate and pretty soon you have more babies than you can count.
