Marijuana can be abused like anything else. I smoked for years and never had any problems.I smoked only once a day at night to relax. But i had a lotta friends who were just plain burnouts and plus they would smoke a pack of cigs a day on top of that. That can't be good for the ol lungs.Just my 2 cents but if you smoke like an adult with some self control no more than once a day the high will be better your lungs will stay healthy, And your wallet will still have money in it.

@choec I have no problem with marijuana, one of my best friends used it to get over depression. My problem is with pothead losers who just do it for the fun and not some religious experience or to treat a disease. They do nothing with their lives except, smoke, drink and do dirty marijuana that's been messed with. I have met few people who have not fit this description. The nonviolent, pensive people that marijuana supposedly creates were all like that before they started toking.

@LemUUU hemp is a much better alternative to paper. Marijuana is extrememly easy to grow and you don't need to destroy the habitat of millions of animals in the rainforest. It is also a much sturdier writing material. In the cloth industry it is very warm and comfortable. Medically it can be used to help with eating disorders and depression. Party wise, it is a safer alternative to cigarettes which are addictive and contain rat poison and it is just plain a good time and safer than alcohol.

I could use some advise as I have a jury trial coming up on Aug 23 in Santa Maria. I have State ID card, a member of a collective and have my doctors reccomendation. My public defender is very confontational with me, and I am afraid she will not prepare for this upcoming trial.After pleading guilty to possession of under an ounce and paid a $50 fine the judge 2 weeks later brought me in refunded my $50 and is retrying me.
@17seventySIX do you have a signed plea agreement from the first deal? All courts are contractual, even what they call criminal infractions. Look into the redemption process. Also check out 'Standing in Court' by the Anti Terrorist. NORML has lawyers who specialize in pot charges also. I hope this helps.

But I just feel like people ignore the side of the argument that I posted. I'm just kind of thinking that mj really doesn't have to be that big of a deal. Maybe people just shouldn't do it, then we wouldn't have these little debates. No one would care. We don't NEED marijuana in this country.

But even though they're not needed, a lot of people in every country will always want to do drugs for recreation, just like there's people who don't. It's not about needs, but more just about rights, as you said. And I do think marijuana used moderately does make for a better quality of life because it relieves anxiety without negative side effects unlike any other drug.

well first off, a really good friend of mine once said that being born is a terminal illness. we are all going to die. death is the high cost of living. it is completely true that marijuana can make a sick person healthy. whether or not a person smokes, we are all going to die. so, it annoys me to hear people say that smoking kills for two reasons: 1) being born causes death, everything is born so everything will die 2) if smoking caused death i would be dead SEVERAL puffs ago.

8 years ago I was diagnosed with brain cancer, they said I would die within 2-3 years...I was 12 at the time....A year later I tried weed for the first time and ever since I started and gotten x-rays they say the tumor in my brain has shrunk...I haven't had to take chemo in 6 years, gained weight and can live a normal life without a worry anymore...Weed not only saved my life, but it's given me a fighting chance and without it...I would be dead.
THC has anti-cancer properties to it. Its neuroprotective characteristics make weed the perfect medicine for brain tumors. Cannibinoids have actually been proven to help kill mutated cells, unhealthy cells, disfunctioning cells, etc. This single plant has so many medicinal and therapeutic properties to it, it makes weed a miracle plant of sorts. Seeing how weed has just been criminalized within the past century, I think this says something significant about the finishing of the spiral of time

Marijuana can be abused like anything else. I smoked for years and never had any problems.I smoked only once a day at night to relax. But i had a lotta friends who were just plain burnouts and plus they would smoke a pack of cigs a day on top of that. That can't be good for the ol lungs.Just my 2 cents but if you smoke like an adult with some self control no more than once a day the high will be better your lungs will stay healthy, And your wallet will still have money in it.

@choec I have no problem with marijuana, one of my best friends used it to get over depression. My problem is with pothead losers who just do it for the fun and not some religious experience or to treat a disease. They do nothing with their lives except, smoke, drink and do dirty marijuana that's been messed with. I have met few people who have not fit this description. The nonviolent, pensive people that marijuana supposedly creates were all like that before they started toking.

@LemUUU hemp is a much better alternative to paper. Marijuana is extrememly easy to grow and you don't need to destroy the habitat of millions of animals in the rainforest. It is also a much sturdier writing material. In the cloth industry it is very warm and comfortable. Medically it can be used to help with eating disorders and depression. Party wise, it is a safer alternative to cigarettes which are addictive and contain rat poison and it is just plain a good time and safer than alcohol.

Transportation of over one ounce (ounce and a half ) also intent to sell.. My public defender is very confontational with me, and I am afraid she will not prepare for this upcoming trial.After pleading guilty to possession of under an ounce and paid a $50 fine the judge 2 weeks later brought me in refunded my $50 and is retrying me.

@17seventySIX do you have a signed plea agreement from the first deal? All courts are contractual, even what they call criminal infractions. Look into the redemption process. Also check out 'Standing in Court' by the Anti Terrorist. NORML has lawyers who specialize in pot charges also. I hope this helps.

@fWo I wouldn't say any of us need drugs, no. You're right. Not anymore than we need amusement parks or anything like that. But even though they're not needed, a lot of people in every country will always want to do drugs for recreation, just like there's people who don't. It's not about needs, but more just about rights, as you said. And I do think marijuana used moderately does make for a better quality of life because it relieves anxiety without negative side effects unlike any other drug.

well first off, a really good friend of mine once said that being born is a terminal illness. we are all going to die. death is the high cost of living. it is completely true that marijuana can make a sick person healthy. whether or not a person smokes, we are all going to die. so, it annoys me to hear people say that smoking kills for two reasons: 1) being born causes death, everything is born so everything will die 2) if smoking caused death i would be dead SEVERAL puffs ago.

the use of marijuana is a right given by being born with a life of free will. so apparently this is only land of the free if you go about it the "CORRECT" way. being correct is subjective through every eye. the HUMAN right to smoke marijuana exists but the american right to smoke or talk about it is ignored. bigoted polititians made sure of that.

8 years ago I was diagnosed with brain cancer, they said I would die within 2-3 years...I was 12 at the time....A year later I tried weed for the first time and ever since I started and gotten x-rays they say the tumor in my brain has shrunk...I haven't had to take chemo in 6 years, gained weight and can live a normal life without a worry anymore...Weed not only saved my life, but it's given me a fighting chance and without it...I would be dead.

THC has anti-cancer properties to it. Its neuroprotective characteristics make weed the perfect medicine for brain tumors. Cannibinoids have actually been proven to help kill mutated cells, unhealthy cells, disfunctioning cells, etc. This single plant has so many medicinal and therapeutic properties to it, it makes weed a miracle plant of sorts. Seeing how weed has just been criminalized within the past century, I think this says something significant about the finishing of the spiral of time

Those are events that took place that have no relation to who they happened too.
