I think what you're thinking of is the part before the actual song starts, sounds kind of like a video game. That part is called "Flight of the Wounded Bumble Bee," even though it's in the same track as "He Man Woman Hater." The solo I am playing in this video is from after the whole band comes in. It's like 3 or 4 minutes into the song.

lol thanks! That's a trick that I learned from one of Paul Gilbert's instructional videos, he does a whole section on ending a phrase or solo with turning down the volume knob. After that it just became a habit. Highly recommended video!
